As usual, Starlight hung back during the announcement. For her, the prospects of entering a shopping mall were grim. Galaxyfur had been completely obsessed with twolegs while Starlight was his apprentice. (In his spare time, at least. He had been a great medicine cat and all.) So she had been the center of his twoleg experiments and such, and as a result had been traumatized by his more eccentric ideas. Like running the young apprentice through an entire spin cycle in said washing machine.
Anyways, this was one quest Starlight wished StarClan would leave her out of.
Instead she found herself saying, "If we divvy out the, er, shopping list, I should probably be on the team getting the washing machine. No cat should ever have to go through a spin cycle." Here Starlight shuddered. "And when we get there, never, ever press buttons until you've read the manual front to back, including the safety section." Starlight made a point of looking at each of the eager apprentices and kits as she made her command.

Ooc: Wow, will the twisted mind of Galaxyfur never cease to haunt the young medicine cat? Will Stonepelt learn to laugh with his inside voice? O:
Bic: Wildstar eyed the young medicine cat oddly, then shook her head, as if to dispell the thoughts of a spin cycle from her mind. "What Starlight says is true. All apprentices and kits will be split up equally into each group, to ensure they will not come across such a fate. "Now, if were are ever to get started, we should leave. Lead the way to the subway, Falcontail!" The bright-orange tabby tom perked his ears straight ahead, and adjusted his raven feather, before leading the way to the sand hills. "For MountainClan!"

"And only because StarClan and Wildstar order it," Starlight muttered to herself, following along behind. "Anything less and I would so not be here."
On the other hand, maybe she would be able to try the ice cream that had inspired Galaxyfur's imitiation. That got the young medicine cat moving just a bit faster and her ears pricked up.

**Wait...Sleetfoot's never even been to a twolegplace...besides, Fallentree has done this quest before. Why wasn't he made patrol leader? Or Galaxy at the very least due to his Twoleg obsession. I'm gonna bring him in here by the way. I figured with Stonepelt I can at least drag Glazers. This is Comedy after all**
Sleetfoot hung his head and closed his eyes, no doubt imagining this large place with shinny floors and over-sized fresh-kill piles. This would be difficult but he would survive. He had to prove to his Clan and his ancestors that he could put his Clan's needs before him.
Fallentree just sighed at his leader's response. He would only slow the group down and would probably end up staying just inside the mall doors for the entire trip. Hey! He had an idea and caught Wildstar's attention. "May I hold base? If I find a nice, large, secluded spot to hang out, each of the patrols can return to me to drop off their stuff so they won't be burdened on their other hunts."
The excitement that rose in Galaxyfur wasn't even measurable. The black tom's eyes widened at the mention of the mall and his ears perked. A huge almost evil grin spread across his face. This was what his entire life had been leading up to. This was his moment!

((Because he's freakishly old, of course.))

Ooc: I chose Sleetfoot, because before he came to MountainClan, he used to be a traveller/other Clan...ist. And, even if he's never seen the inside of a shopping mall, we'll assume that Wildstar thought he had, making the roleplay all the more dysfunctional and mentally irregular.

OoC: Just a minute, Sleety. Bringing in Glazy would make Starry Starpaw, which would make her act differently, which would change all my posts. . . .

OoC: Mebbe a time-skip to the subway is in order. Since we seem to be kind of stuck for whatever reason.

Wildstar nodded. "Yes, I suppose so. Your old paws wouldn't take to much walking inside a shopping center. Find a good rock ledge, I guess, and don't leave until we're all leaving."
----Time Skip----
Falcontail pointed proudly at the hustle and bustle of Twolegplace. "There you have it, my friends. A genuine Twoleg subway station."

Starlight stared wide-eyed at the commotion below her. There were twolegs /everywhere/ and the largest monsters she'd ever seen lined up on strange paths. Cacophonous noise and pungent smells and dizzying sights dominated her senses, making Starlight feel confused and very small.
And MountainClan was to get inside one of these? Twice?

**She could still be StarLight. This could be right before Glazers passes on. She would have gotten her full name before he died**
Sleetfoot's eyes widened until it was as if they would pop out and his a twoleg. "That...is...so...INSANE!" Then he coughed twice and licked his chest fur, embarrassed. "I mean. Ossh...twolegs..." Fallentree just shook his head at the young warrior and stepped onto the subway.
Now, as you may know, unlike a bus, you have no actual contact with a driver on a subway so there was no need to try to explain why a bunch of cats where boarding. But they did get a few looks from other riders.
**Are the kits born now?**

Falcontail quickly paid the cash fare to the teller, trying his best to explain they weren't exactly familiar with all subway etiquette. To the tabby's dismay, he recieved only a weird look. Catching up to Wildstar and squeezing onto the packed train, Falcontail called to the others. "It's best to find seats, everyone. When these trains stop, they really stop. And I'm sure no one wants to go flying, at least not under these circumstances." Taking a seat next to a young Twoleg tom, Wildstar snorted at him when he pulled a double-take while scanning a newspaper. 'Silly Twolegs...'

Stonepelt crawled onto a seat with only a little hesitation, but Flowertail and the apprentices were much slower. They looked around anxiously at the surprised Twoleg faces staring down at them. They were so tall...
They hopped up to sit with Stonepelt, one after the other. A Twoleg in a seat behind them leaned over and sniffed, then waved his paw in front of his nose. Worried, Willowpaw lifted her foreleg and sniffed under it. "We don't smell /that/ bad!"

Sleetfoot was last on the subway...well not /last/. He jumped up onto the steps and looked around. It seemed the seats where full so he decided to do as some two legs where and he wrapped his tail tightly around a long, cold, silver tree reaching from the floor to the ceiling.
Galaxyfur, unfortunately, had been spending to much time exploring the outside of the train and, when the doors closed, he flipped. Scared that he would loose his Clan, he did the only thing he could think of...Jump on top!!
