MountainClan Goes to the Mall

[Starlight]

Starlight glanced around nervously from her spot on the floor. She thought it would be safer there where she could wrap her tail around a . . . tree, but instead she was kept busy avoiding twolegs' paws.

The subway startled Starlight when it suddenly jerked into motion. Her instant reaction was to dig her claws into the strange, soft ground, tighten her tail and tense her body. Ears flat against her head, she searched frantically for her mentor, hoping he might help to calm her.

"Where's Galaxyfur?" she yowled in anxiety when she couldn't find the medicine cat.

[Sleetfoot]

Sleetfoot followed her gaze and looked around the floor. He snorted when he couldn't find the black and white tom. No doubt he had boarded closer to the front to watch the 'subway' in action. To study the controls. The crazy guy. How could MountainClan trust him with their life? he was insane!

[Bluesky]

Bluesky hopped up into the subway thing, and found that there were no empty seats left, save for the one Foxfangs was pulling herself into. She quickly darted over to Sleetfoot, wrapping her tail around the cold, skinny tree and placing a paw behind and around one of his, feeling more secure for having someone to hold onto.
Shadowchase behind her had to fairly drag Mudsplatter onto the subway, the other cat wailing about the dirt. Ignoring the nasty looks from disgruntled twolegs, he bit down on the loose skin behind Mudsplatter's neck and pulled him farther along the cabin until they could join Foxfangs, who was circling on the last empty spot. The orange she-cat helped him the MountainClan drama queen into the seat, and then Shadowchase joined them.
"I'm going to get covered in dirt!" Mudsplatter sniffled, at last quieting.
"We'll stop by Victoria's Secret and get some perfume so you can smell like fruits and flowers!" Foxfangs grinned at him, not at all bothered by the twolegs scootching as far away from them as they could while still staying on their own seats.

[Willowfoot]

Bramblepaw looked down at Starlight in faint alarm at the announcement of Galaxyfur's being missing, but he wasn't worried. When he was younger, he thought that Galaxyfur had magical teleportation powers that let him always be where he needed to be.

Flowertail purred. "Aww, Mudsplatter, y'know you can sit by me." She smiled softly.

Stonepelt looked up in alarm. "WHAT!?" he glared at his mate. "Should I know about Mudsplatter?"

The brown tabby was at a loss for words. "Well... Well, Mudsplatter?"

[Wildstar]

Falcontail called across to Foxfangs from his seat. "Chuck Norris knows Victoria's secret, but he won't tell!" The tabby tom's voice fell apart in a fit of laughter, followed by a hacking sound.
Wildstar rolled her eyes. "You know telling jokes always gives you hairballs, Falcontail."

[Sleetfoot]

Sleetfoot just shook his head and pressed into his mate. His coat obviously made him stand out, but if he got close enough to Bluesky's dark pelt, and sank deep enough to the floor, maybe the twolegs wouldn't think he was a part of that group. Craey ClanMates...

"Uh, well, Stone.. not er," Mudsplatter stuttered a little, then the subway shot off. "EEP!" He squealed and scrambling on the plastic seat with his claws, frantically trying to get a claw hold. Shadowchase rolled his eyes and supported the skinny cat so that he wouldn't go flying.
"Oh ho ho," Foxfangs grinned at Falcontail. "But if he ever meets me, I'll get that secret out of him!"

[Wildstar]

Falcontail twitched his whiskers, hiding his tail as it curled in embarrassment.
Wildstar couldn't help but crack a smile. "Foxfangs is a great warrior, Falcontail. I'm sure you'll have beautiful kits together."
Frowning, Falcontail twirled his tail back over his paws. He resisted the urge to shudder. The word commitment banishing all thoughts of Foxfangs from his mind.

[Willowfoot]

Stonepelt gave Flowertail a "really, honey" look.
She threw it right back.

Then, being the cats they were, they started laughing.

Willowpaw rolled her eyes. Ugh, parents... would they never cease to embarrass her in public? And what on earth was Bramblepaw doing on a twoleg laptop?

"Hey, Willow, you have got to read this conversation I'm having. Wh--WHAT DO YOU MEAN INTERNET EXPLORER HAS TO CLOSE? I am so downloading Firefox."

[Wildstar]

Wildstar had been staring out the window, but had given up when she realized there was nothing outside to see except stretches of Twoleg wasteland and perfume adds.
'Maybe I should buy some of that Britney Spears "Believe",' she pondered absently.

For once, Falcontail was actually doing something useful. His eyes were firmly planted on the giant map of the subway's route. Right now they were still four stops away from there destination. "And who wants to spend it next to Wildstar?" he grumbled aloud accidently.

"Like you're much company," she hissed back.

[Sleetfoot]

Sleety's head snapped up at his apprentice's yowl. "What! Where? Where's a fox on fire?" He let go of the metal tree and lept up to the kit's side to look at his screen. Of course, he left his mate completely unprotected against the harsh jerky movement of the subway.

They giant monster came to a stop much to quickly. The large doors opened and some two-legs exited while others entered. Noticing the younger cat looking at the map, Fallentree called to Falcontail. "how much farther, young one?"

[Willowfoot]

Bramblepaw gave Sleetfoot a weird look. This was how you could tell how old cats were. "No, Sleetfoot, there isn't a fox on fire," he said gently, "Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are some web browsers... for, uh... browsing... the web..."

[Sleetfoot]

"Spider's web?" He pawed gently at the screen, expecting it to stick to his paw. He seemed totally oblivious to his mate, most likely struggling against the sudden stop.

[Wildstar]

Wildstar nodded. "I've heard of the World Wide Spiderweb, once. It was at a bonfire rally, when I was a deputy."

Falcontail replied without looking at the elder. "Looks like three stops now. I'd wish these things'd go faster, but, it looks like you cats can barely handle the speed's it's travelling at."

[Regalpaw]

Regalpaw noticed the subway and hopped on. Looking around he found the other cats. "Hey guys. Sorry, I stopped by Arby's and had to get on at a different stop." He licked bar-b-q sauce from his paws.
