**Yay I have a part to play now No more Lurkyness for moi!** The she-leopard was returning from a hunt with a large white dove held in her large jaws. She lay the food on the medium sized pile and headed to a corner of the camp. Her young and energetic paws where itching for something to due other than hunt. She was a Scout for icicle's sake, not a hunter! But scouts where hardly needed anymore, now that they where settled into their territory. She sunk to the floor and gave her gray, crystal pelt-for which she had been named- a once over with her raspy tongue. Not that she really needed it. her fur was always perfect.

"Wildstar, what should we do?" Starlight asked. There was no point standing around here doing nothing. The enemies could attack at any time, and only she and Wildstar even knew another clan existed. The prophecy could be pondered out later.
((You could lurk even more if we gave the rest of MountainClan a chance to get involved. That way you wouldn't have to reply to every other post. Call them to tallspire, maybe?))

Light spotted Crystal and glided over to her. "Good evening, Crystal. I'll get right to the point. The king and I have reason to believe that there is another tribe of cats somewhere nearby. Round up some scouts and go ask the trainers where to start. "
She swallowed. "This may be the most important mission of your life. Please me."

Ooc: What should I call them to the Tallspire for? There's not much point in letting them worry about something that even Wildstar and Starlight know very little about. :/ I would totally pull a Redwall and suggest a feast, but, I'm not sure if they do that in Warriors.

The she-cat nodded solemnly, her bubbly feelings gone. She could tell by the deep sorrow in the other leopard's voice that whatever this was was important. But she had to to ask. "Would not we notice other leopards in our hunting grounds?" Her voice was kind and not contradicting, only curious. But she stood never-the-less and dipped her head. "My food is your, where you hungry." And without waiting for a reply she went in search of other members for her scout patrol. Ideally, she would find Hail and Blizzard but last she had seen they where out hunting or training.

The old Light would have been offended nonetheless, but now she was too preoccupied with the weight of the prophecy. She stared at the dove, a pure bird, full of hope, condemned to be food for leopards. She suddenly didn't seem so hungry and walked away into the shadows.

OoC: Well, I was thinking to warn them and have them on their guard. . . . Maybe Stonepelt could come back now?

ooc:OHSNAP
I'm going to The Discussion for a bit because I really don't know what to do Check discussion!
ic: Stonepelt was scrawny. His fur was ragged and his ribs stuck out. He had scars on his shoulders and nicks in his ears and he no longer smelled of MountainClan. He would be doing good to catch a bird that was more or less all feathers and bone.
He dragged his barely recognizable body under a tall rock. It had been the longest patrol he had ever been on. Many moons ago, everyone had been healthy, walking with their tails up and ready to check the borders. No cat knew that Swiftmask was carrying kits, not even her own mate, Burntfur. She wouldn't tell anyone. Not even Swiftmask expected that they would be led by a strange scent going far off their territory where she would bear her kits with no medicine cat. It was not in Burntfur's power to keep her alive, nor the kits who had been born dead. One kit had survived.
He, Burntfur, and the kit were far from home, lost in the wilderness of the mountains. One night they were resting. Stonepelt was just bringing some food for Burntfur's kit. She was nearing a good apprentice age, though she hardly looked it, being the poor runty thing she was.
No cat expected the rogues. They came out of nowhere, brutally attacking the patrol for their territory. Burntfur died. The kit was thrown against a rock headfirst. Stonepelt was gravely wounded in a leg. The rogues left, assuming they had killed them all. Stonepelt assumed that he was the only one alive. Burntfur was definitely dead. He couldn't be given a proper burial without the clan, but his body was not left to rot. Stonepelt couldn't find the kit, but he didn't think something that small could have survived a blow that fierce to the head.
Stonepelt was alone.
But even that had been many moons ago. Even with the state he was in, he kept track of the moons. It was nine. With the incident with Swiftmask, he had to wonder... he had left his mate carrying kits. Were they alright? Alive, at least?
Oh, Flowertail. She probably thought he was dead. The poor thing. Stonepelt could not bear to imagine how grief-stricken she must have been. He didn't want to go to sleep, however exhausted he might have been. He kept a watchful vigil below the tall rock.
There was so little he hadn't expected.

ooc: Yay, my computer's working again.
bic: Rosepaw stretched as she climbed out of the apprentice's den. Almost at once, she knew that something was wrong. Starlight was pacing the inside of her den; and Wildstar looked worried. Her eyes glanced over at the other apprentices. They were still asleep.

The leopard was unable to find the other two cats she had wished to take on patrol. It was not safe to go alone so she found Falcon**NPC**, sitting under a tree and beckoned him forward. "Light has ordered me on a scouting mission. Accompany me?" The large gray tom only nodded and followed the lithely built she-cat into the forest.
The searched for a while until unable to resist the smell of the hunt, Falcon brought down a large rabbit. Despite her pure annoyance and the older cat, a smile danced lovingly in her eyes. He was a silent cat but was often much more playful than she. "Go." She sighed, watching her elder brother. "Return to camp with your catch. I can carry on alone. I am not likely to find anything soon." The large, mute tom smiled as he picked up the rabbit, waved his tale in departure and took of like lighting towards the camp.
Crystal searched for a few minutes more before shaking her head and turning back. She would have to tell Light that she found nothing. But before she could return home she needed to stop. A thirsty cat could only make it s far.
She found a large pond and dipped her head beside it, lapping up the cool water that shone beneath her muzzle. As she lifted her head, her nose pricked. That smell...it wasn't right. It wasn't normal. She followed it, bringing on her silent steps and soft footfalls. This was why she had been given the job of head Scout, despite her age. She was born for it. The silent she-cat followed the scent until she found a tiny den, not big enough even for her. It smelt stronger, but the same as she had noticed at the pond. Then, farther away she saw it. A cat, much smaller than herself, sitting on a ledge looking over the territory. Her territory.
It was not in the scout's code to attack on a mission but it was one cat. Not even a leopard. She didn't know what it was but it looked like no threat. She tasted the air to be sure it was alone; there was no ambush. Slowly, quiet as the mouse she stalks, she crept up behind the gray cat. Without warning, when she felt the timing right, she lept, paws stretched.
Talented as she was at stalking and scouting, Crystal was no fighter. She juged her roar of triumph to soon, giving the smaller cat time to react...

Stonepelt didn't notice the leopard until she roared. His eyes turned sharply to Crystal, staring in pure terror. A leopard? Were there more? He didn't have time to think about that, so he ran. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him. The adrenaline had awakened some instinct deep within him, giving him a path.
He saw the glint of water in the distance, looking surprised. He knew this lake. He was on MountainClan territory at last! After so many moons!
He followed the trails he knew so well, remembering the leopard that was likely in pursuit, though he dared not look behind him. He crashed into the camp, yelling to anyone who would listen: "Leopard!!"

Regalpaw 's eyes opened slowly. He blinked the sun out of them as he turned to stretch. He padded out of the den, somewhat lethargic, cracking his neck. But he snapped to it, eyes open body erect when he noticed her. He couldn't seam like a weak tired kit when she was around. He glanced around at the other cats. She was alone, grooming in a corner. This was as good a time as any.
He made his way to the fresh-kill pile and chose a large blackbird. Taking a deep breath he headed over in her direction. Regalpaw had never been very good with the trying to woo. He was a fighter, he lived for his training. But he couldn't help but go all doe-eyed when she was around. Few seemed to notice but she was so beautiful.
He set the bird down at her paws. "Hello Willowpaw. Have you eaten yet?"

Crystal followed the cat until she noticed a change in scent. She was at the end of her territory. She snorted in the pitiful creatures direction.
She hadn't really given her chase much effort. She didn't want it dead, just gone. But her next flight took much more speed and power as she rounded a boulder and headed home.
She slowed as she reached the camp. Flattening her chest fur, she entered and looked about for Light.
