Thirty days. It had been nearly thirty days since Galaxyfur had found a small black kitten digging through the MountainClan fresh-kill pile. He had brought her back to his den to speak with her but learned little. She had no idea who she was or how she had found her way to the camp. She had had an injur y that he had seen too and she was doing better.
But the kit was six moons old now and no longer a kit. He had spoken privately with Wildstar over the past few weeks. He had told her that this was a very important cat that could help save the Clan. Of course, he hadn’t been aloud to tell her the prophecy in full, but he knew that he had got this kits importance across. He needed to take her on as his apprentice. He just hopped that is what Wildstar decided.
He sat now, beneath the Tallspire waiting for his leader to exit her den And make the call for the cats to gather. Star *that is what they had been calling her* was already sitting beside him. He lay his paw gently on her forehead and noticed a tuft of fur sticking the wrong way. He bent down to give it a swift lick and push it back into place.

OoC: One problem, everyone thought that Starlight was five moons old, so she couldn't have been apprenticed right away like this.

Starkit squirmed some under Galaxyfur's grooming, then bent to self-consciously lick her already well-groomed chest. Her namesake had become a point of vanity for the young she-cat this past moon. Maybe it always had been. They would never know.
Everything was new and exciting, this ceremony more so than anything else this far. During her time with MountianClan, Starkit had had the clan ways and Warrior Code thrust upon her. By now they were a comforting surety, and Starkit felt more than ready to submit herself to them.
And Galaxyfur was already a father-figure to Star. She trusted him more than anything else in the whole world. He’d explained the ways of medicine cats to her, and she admired his determination, faith and inner strength. She wanted nothing more than to be like him someday.
And so here she stood, prepared to be initiated into the life of a true MountainClan cat.

Ooc: What season did Starkit arrive in? I'm assuming greenleaf, until told otherwise.
Wildstar sat just inside the darkness of her den, only her eyes visible, despite the glaring sun outside. It was time for the mysterious kit to become an apprentice, and all the signs seemed to direct her to the path of medicine and healing. Galaxyfur had fostered her for a while now, treating her like his own daughter (a rare occurrence, considering cats of such a calling were forbidden to mate, which made Starkit even more interesting), and now it was time to become her teacher. The kit had not been mountain-born as far as anycat knew, but, then again, neither were Wildstar and many of the others. Regardless, she would make a valuable asset for the Clan.
((Ooc: And hopefully become the first on-screen full-time medicine cat MountainClan has ever had.))
But there was something about the kit, perhaps it was her personality, or the chill that Wildstar couldn't shake from the base of her neck when she saw Starkit. StarClan was trying to tell her something about this young one, and the black she-cat had a feeling that something big would come of this soon-to-be apprentice.

OoC: Wildy, I think you have to go up on Tallspire and begin the ceremony...right?

Ooc: I do, but, I'm waiting for other posts, so I'm just adding filler for now.

Lightfur sat at the edge of camp, staring at the sky. Her eyes were mere slits in the flooding sunlight, and her mood was pensive. Today there was going to be a ceremony, and although most cats in the camp didn't know that it was going to happen today, few if any would be surprised that little Starkit was to be apprenticed to Galaxyfur. Ever since she'd arrived, a moon ago now, the little kit had stuck to the medicine cat like a burr, and she seemed to have an aptitude for herbs and a connection to StarClan that few others could match. Wildstar and Galaxyfur, being close to StarClan themselves, could sense that. Lightfur considered herself as loyal to StarClan as any other cat, but they did not speak to her or send her signs the way they spoke to the leader and the medicine cat. The deputy had a feeling that there was something going on that she knew nothing about, that she couldn't understand, and it made her uneasy. Still, Starkit was a sweet little she-cat, and Lightfur liked her. She would make a good medicine cat, although what sort of weird ideas she would absorb from Galaxyfur, Lightfur really had no idea.

Sleetfoot could feel something more then just cats gathering in the clearing outside his den. Shaking his white head, he tried his best to blink the sleep from his blue eyes as he padded slowly into the clearing. Wildstar hadn't made the gathering call yet, but he figured he might as well get out there now; better early then late. He glanced around to see Lightfur sitting close to the camp entrance looking at nothing in particular with a glassy look over her eyes. Sleetfoot decided it would be best not to disturb the thinking deputy. The only other two cats in the opening where Galaxyfur and young Star. Within a few seconds Sleetfoot had realized that this would probably be the young kit's apprentice ceremony. He snorted, it was about dang time!
