**I love ye so much Willow, yer great ** Sleetfoot glanced over at the young she-cat as she touched noses with her new mentor. She looked excited and happy that her time had finally come. He looked around at the other kits and his eye cought that of Bramblekit. He could see uncertainty, excitement, hope, and confusion in the young cats eyes and he couldn't help bet smile. He looked up at Regalkit, who sat beside Lightfur, apparently quite sure of who his mentor was to be. And young Gingerkit, who sat alone, waiting for her name to be called. Fallentree wasn't able to go much farther than the rim of the Elder's den but he sat and watched as the Clan got their first new apprentice. He had watched Pearlclaw grow up and knew that she would make an excellent mentor. And the bubbly young Willowpaw would have an outstanding run as an apprentice. His eyes twinkled as he watched the two cats touch noses, a ceremony he had seen performed many many times, one he himself had performed five times on his own. He already knew, of course, who was to mentor the other three apprentices, but he had been unable to talk to them about it.

OoC: Since Willowpaw is leaving for Texas in half an hour and Wildstar isn't on, I have made a decision as deputy to post Wildstar's part of the ceremony, as we really do need to get this ceremony done with. Wildstar can make an changes she likes when she logs on. ^^*
BiC: Wildstar beckoned Bramblekit forward. "Sleetfoot, you will be mentor to Bramblepaw. Although he is your first apprentice from your time with us, you have mentored before. We hope you will pass on your skill and fresh perspective on to this apprentice."

ooc: Actually, I live in Texas, just not in Dallas. XD
bic: Bramblepaw tried not to shiver too hard. Wonderful! He was an apprentice now, and he would trian as hard as he ever could to be a worthwhile apprentice to Sleetfoot and he hoped he would share the respect that his mentor had gotten.
Willowpaw felt an odd sensation of pride when Wildstar named him Bramblepaw, almost like she was his mother instead of his sister. She sat between Pearlclaw and Flowertail, and watched her brother earn his apprenticeship, and thought: this is all I ever need.

Sleetfoot could have sworn his pelt had turned a radiant gold with pride. HE stood head held high as he trotted up to the young cat. He smiled down at his first MountainClan apprentice. He leaned his head down to touch noses with the young tom. He could see Bramblepaw's eyes burning with happiness. "Welcome, Bramblepaw," He murmured as he swept his tail around the cat and walked over to sit behind Pearlclaw, Willowpaw and Flowertail.

Wildstar felt pride seemingly shoot through the very tips of her fur. The entire Clan looked like they really had become the close-knit family that StormClan had once been, just they were MountainClan now. Swallowing a purr that bubbled in her throat, the black she-cat continued. "Regalkit, step forward."

OoC: He's been roleplaying as an apprentice, so there's been some confusion about that, but as far as I know the decision was to have an official ceremony for him after all, and that has not occured yet. ^^

Regalkit's head snapped up when he heard his name. He had been so focused on his snow white paws that he hadn't really noticed what was going on around him. He was five days older than Willowpaw and Bramblepaw, there for he had been pretty sure as soon as Wildstar called the meeting that he, too, would be getting his apprentice name and mentor today. But he had been so nervous, he couldn't pay much attention to the other two cats. To be honest, he couldn't even tell you who had been their mentors. He stood nervously but as soon as he started forward, all of his fear faded. As if by magic he became a confident cat who went to sit below his leader.

"Regalkit, from now on you will be known as Regalpaw," Wildstar nodded at her deputy. "Lightfur, you shall be Regalpaw's mentor."

Lightfur got to her paws. She had already known that she would be mentoring Regalpaw, of course, being the deputy, but still, a surge of excitement ran through her. This would be her second apprentice, after Bluesky, and she took solace in the fact that if the way she had turned out was any measure, Lightfur was not that bad of a mentor. Padding over to the fluffy tabby apprentice, Lightfur nodded slightly to him, her eyes reassuring, although he looked simply bursting with excitement and not nervous at all.

Regalpaw's eyes widened. The Deputy? AS his mentor! Such an honor! He turned to look at the golden she-cat, obvious shock lit up his beautiful dark brown eyes.

"Lightfur, this is not your first apprentice. Share your experience and kind-heartedness with him. I know that you will train him well." Wildstar allowed a small smile, as she was afraid she would let out a very unleader-like laugh if she smiled too wide.

Lightfur bent slightly to press her nose against that of Regalpaw, her green eyes twinkling at his expression. He had been a good kit, and she had a feeling that he would be an even better apprentice.
Pearlclaw glanced over at Willowpaw, feeling another surge of pride go through her chest. She hoped that theirs was as good a match as the others seemed to be. Sleetfoot and Bramblepaw, Lightfur and Regalpaw… She also hoped that Willowpaw didn't mind having gotten such a relatively inexperienced mentor when the others had gotten such obviously gifted ones in the deputy and the foreign tom.
