Ooc: Well, I made this RP so that we could all relax and get into the swing of things, so technically, we don't need every member's participation (that would be nice, though!)… Maybe we could just say she's sick and doesn't want to see anyone? : /
Bic: Falcontail contemplated smashing his head into a tree trunk and ending it right here, he really did. This kit had not ceased to embarrass him since she'd arrived in MountainClan, and what was worse… he was eventually going to be her mentor?! Obviously StarClan, and every cat in MountainClan was secretly laughing at him. But still, he chose to endure the jest. Maybe she'd snap out of it eventually at start mooning over some wet-behind-the-ears tom when she got a little older, just as long as she started bothering some other cat. The orange tabby sighed and twitched the snow from his whiskers. "Yes, it's really like this every year, Hawkkit," he replied, his temper very short at that moment. "Let's try out your ice legs." 'And hopefully it'll tire you out enough to stop bothering me,' he added to himself.
--- Wildstar's whiskers twitched in a smile that just wouldn't go away, so she left it there. StarClan had blessed them with a plentiful season, even in the teeth of leaf-bare, and it was wonderful seeing her Clan relaxing. There had been no cases of greencough in the past moons, and if they were lucky, they might get through the season with just one or two. Pinestar had not spoken to her recently, but her last dream had promised plenty of snow and plenty of prey. Go figure. The black she-cat perched herself on a worn stump--it had a perfect view of the lake, and an even better view of her Clanmates. Falcontail, true to his old nature was goofing off, the apprentices would probably be planning some big scheme by now, and the older warriors were content to laze about or take to the ice. A part of her wanted to join in on all the fun, but a bigger part of her wanted to sit back and watch her Clan be themselves, as though she were Wildkit again, intent to watch everything around her. 'I wouldn't mind a slide across the ice when no cat's looking though,' she admitted.

Hawkkit's eyes lit up with excitement as Falcontail spoke. "Do you mean, go to the lake?" she asked excitedly, "I've heard it's really fun to slide across the ice! Could we do that Falcontail," she begged, her eyes shining brightly, "Please?" She looked in the direction of the lake, her eyes shining bright with excitement. She pictured herself running and sliding across the ice, the wind rushing through her fur, she and Falcontail side by side. She had to admit, she had developed a small crush on him since she had arrived in Mountainclan. He was different from the other cats, she could tell. She didn't know how he was, but she knew. She found herself fascinated by him. When he wasn't looking, she caught herself many times staring at the feathers on his back. She often imagined how he came to get them. She had never had the nerve though, to ask him how he got them. One day, she would, but today was not that day.

Before leaving with his partner, Sleetfoot looked around the camp. It seemed a few others-Falcontail and Hawkkit- had decided to join them. Figuring it was already a party, Sleetfoot called out to everycat that was awake. "Come join us down by the lake for some fun!" He was about to turn when his gaze was caught by the beautiful black cat, perched atop the camp. He smiled at her. "Come on Wildstar! I know not even a party-pooper like you an resist the call of the ice! Join us!"

Regalpaw's eyes narrowed at the younger kit as his anger began to subside. He slowly lifted his paw from the other's neck and let him go. With a flick of his tail-he was too good for this- he turned back to the apprentice's den in an attempt to find Willowpaw.
+-+-+-+-+
Moonkit, the second the pressure was released from him, raced off to join Falcontail. Sometimes the older cats scared him. he was so small, even for one his age and he always thought they would step on him. And Regalpaw wasn't always the nicest cat. He had these crazy moodswings that no one could predict...he was like a she-cat!

Ooc: LAWLZ Moonkit is soooo adorable! And thanks for the "beautiful" comment, Sleet. Bic: Falcontail nodded and tried to focus on something else… something that wasn't so clingy and annoying. "Sure, just wait for Moonkit. I'm not about to teach the same lesson twice." He had originally intended to tell Hawkkit to take a running leap onto the ice and watch her reaction, but that would mean spending more time with her. Not gonna happen! Wildstar felt her paws tingle with the sudden desire to join her Clan. Sleetfoot could be as bad as Falcontail sometimes. She stood and made her way down the incline, intent to keep her own pace. Sometimes it was good to act a little spoiled. "Alright Sleetfoot, but you'll be sorry you asked!" she allowed herself a chuckle.

Sleetfoot grinned as the black cat descended the path to meet him and Ashpelt. he could tell she was trying not to act to excited. She failed miserably! He winked at Ashpelt and muttered something about "she-cats" just before Wildstar came within earshot. he bowed respectfully to her.
Before turning and leading the party toward the lake, he couldn't help but glance back toward Starlight's den were a sick and resting Lightfur was unable to enjoy the day's spoils. No cat, not even the great Starlight could figure out what was wrong with her. he could only prey to StarClan that she might return to the living someday.

Ooc: Cool Sleetfoot! You just opened up an amazing little piece of powerplay in my head. @u@ The way you worded Ligthfur's illness reminded me of Luna from "Firewing" (if you've never read the book, which you probably haven't 'cause it's a Canadian thing, at least look up the summary) 'cause it seems so similar! Also, you made me think that perhaps we should have some sort of mini RP with all our cats that are in StarClan or something...

**No I've never heard of it but I'll look it up. That could work. I was trying to draw Starry to the Moontree so she and Galaxyfur could have a chat but we could bring in all the dead cats then.**

Hawkkit nodded at Falcontail. "Come on, Moonkit!" she called to the small white tom, "We don't want to be the last ones to the ice!" She sat down and began to knead the snow with her paws impatiently as she waited for the other kit. "So," she said turning to Falcontail, "Do you like the snow? I like it. It's cold, but fun!"

Ashpelt's whisker's twitched at his friend's comment. He nodded to Wildstar as she approached, then bounded off in the direction of the lake. The tom's coat was shorter and sleeker than most, and it didn't do to sit still in the bitter cold. Better to get his heart pumping and his muscles moving.
Starlight watched the clan move out to enjoy the day as she sat, unobserved, in the shadowy entrance to her den. She hoped the older cats had the sense to let Sleetfoot test the thickness of the ice before they all went romping about on the lake. Not many cats survived falling into the ice-cold water. Even without that complication, she was sure she would have plenty of bumped heads and frostbitten paws to deal with later. And the apprentices better have finished getting fresh moss for the elders. This weather was hard on their joints.
The medicine cat shook her head, banishing all the petty worries from her mind. This was why she had never minded that her duties didn't allow her to have a mate or kits of her own. Really, who needed a nest full of kits when they had a whole clan of them to look after? Besides, she had other things to worry about today.
She glanced back at Lightfur, who was resting soundly after a few poppy seeds. That was the most Starlight could do for the poor deputy right now. Just keep her out of pain. That's why she had to go to the Moontree today.
((Taking the bait, Sleety!))

Moonkit had always been a little unsure about Hawkkit. He alwasy thought she was weird and way energetic but...so was he. he had thought she was cool, but she was older then him and even though they shared a den for now, he rarely spoke to her.
He couldn't help the little flutter of emotion that caught in his throat when she spoke to him. It was just an invite to come along, but it was enough to make him happy. The little kit bounded after her and Falcontail.

**Haha I'm glad And I can totally imagine a dignified, high and mighty cat like Falcontal or Ashpelt just falling through the ice and coming out soaking wet ** Sleetfoot chuckled hardily before racing after Ashpelt. It was funny to see the Senior Warrior racing two little kits! but that was one of the joys of snow. It made everyone a kit! Everyone except poor Starlight and Lightfur... ~*~*~*~*~ In the elder's den, the creaking of bones could literally be heard by outsiders. An old, balding, frail tomcat did his best to stand. Despite what any cat had ever told him, from Naturesong to Galaxyfur to Starlight and even the ones who'd come before them, he always insisted on walking on his own. having watched the proceedings going on in the camp, he decided it just wasn't fair for almost everycat to be having fun. No, I know what you're thinking, and no Fallentree did not attempt to follow the youngsters down to the lake. Instead, he made his way to Starlight's den. The going was incredibly slow and painful (not that he would let anyone notice) but he was determined and that was all that mattered. He arrived at the mouth of the den to see her staring out after the cats who had fled to the lake. His voice gruff and raspy and barely audible, Fallentree spoke. "Starlight. You need to go have fun as well. A pretty little thing like yourself can't be cooped up in here! Besides, who is going to watch all of those irresponsible toms? Wildstar is going to be too busy playing herself. Someone needs to make sure they don't all kill themselves...or those kits!" On a more serious note he added. "I will sit with Lightfur and keep her company, young one."

((Actually, Ashpelt is not dignified or mighty in any way, shape, or form except age, rank, and experience. In demeanor, he's rather like a kit or an apprentice. So falling through the ice and coming out soaking wet would be just like Ashpelt.))
Starlight watched Fallentree approach, knowing better than to dash forward and try helping him. He would make it on his own, or he'd drop dead. Sometimes she thought the latter was more likely.
"Thank you, Fallentree. I'll feel much better knowing you're here with Lightfur," Starlight replied honestly. "But I'm not going to follow them today. It's time I consulted with StarClan on this matter."
Back in the elder's den, Springflower groggily raised her head and peered about, sensing something out of place. Fallentree's moss bed was empty, she realized. Grumbling, she put her head back down. "...crazy old bat, going out in this weather...much better to sleep through...apprentices with that moss when you need it?..." Slowly, her grumbling died off and was replaced by a light snore.

**oh...mkay**
He glared at her (or at least as best he could without his whiskers falling off). But he knew he could not change her mind completely. But perhaps he could get her to compressible. "Well I'll make you a deal then. If you don't at least stop by the pond" his glare deepened, "and pretend to have fun, I wont watch over her." He paused. "And don't give me that 'it's not on the way' stuff, small one, because I know it is!"
He nodded his head (slowly, of course). He had made his point and there was no way she would argue with it...right? He was her elder after all...

The she-cat silently considered this request for a few moments. Then she gave in with a nod. "I'll see what I can do," she promised. Starlight figured she could at least stop and watch her clanmates skid across the ice for a while. That would be most entertaining. She dipped her head towards the elder in thanks before turning to follow the other cats out.
