I kind of like the idea of an immense silver-leafed tree, and medicine cats nestle down in handy gaps in the mass of roots with their nose against the trunk in order to commune with StarClan. *shrugs* Perhaps the Moontree or the Startree? The Silvertree?

Silver trees? I come from Arizona, home of few trees, so I'm pretty ignorant on this, but. . . .
Do silver-leafed trees really exist?

Well, there's the silver-leaved poplar, which is silver on the undersides of the leaves, and of course a Moontree would be special. So maybe a silver poplar with some sort of weird mutation so that both sides of the leaves are silver? (I love silver-leaved poplars, they're so pretty.) Don't know how big and gnarly those get, or what kind of root system they have, though.

Search: Silver-leaved poplar . . . Processing . . . PlantFiles: White Poplar, Silver-leaved Poplar, Silver Poplar Populus alba Height over 40 ft. Space over 40 Ft. They don't appear to have much in the way of roots. Thank you for using Starry Search Engines.

Hm… Height is good, perhaps some long-ago flood (when the water from where the lake used to be flowed away or something, long ago- 'tis an old tree of course) erodes much of the soil away from the upper portion of the root system, leaving portions of the roots exposed and thus handily spaced hollows for medicine cats to cozy down in. *shrugs* I don't think the tree would die if it had enough of the root system lower down left.

Mebbe the tree's a cross-bread with something that has big roots. *shrugs* I've said it before and I'll say it again: Since when does MountainClan have logic.
I think it would be cool if the moon shined silver through the silver leaves and cast a silver glow upon the dreaming cats. OoOoOoo. But what about ze leaf-bare?

…Then the branches are silver and sparkling with ice! =3 And the flowers in newleaf are white. (Dunno if that fits a poplar or not)

Actually, Starry Search EnginesTM says that they're yellow.

…Well, this tree should prolly have white flowers or even silver ones to fit the theme. I mean, it doesn't have to be an actual existing tree (probably). MountainClan threw logic over the edge of the mountain long ago. ^^
