With only one kit.
BUT ANYWAY.
I was planning on him recognizing her later. Maybe in the den? But there are more pressing matters at the moment.

Well, what would Stonepelt do? Would he be able to recognize the kit he thought dead in the midst of all the trauma? Or would the black fur and white star instantly connect?

Starry, unless Stonepelt looked closely at the star (which I doubt that he'll be doing at the moment, since he's obviously under a bit of stress), with the way cat's fur moves about, it'll prolly look to him like it's just a white spot, which is a relatively common coloration for a cat. (Ravenpaw anyone?) Also, he won't be on the lookout for Starlight because he's convinced that she died moons ago. He hasn't seen her in ages, which could make recognizing her at the best of times difficult, and a lot of times people don't see what they don't expect to see. It's the way out brains work. (I would assume the same goes for sentient, talking cats.)
I feel like if he does recognize her, it shouldn't be right away, and there should be something that jogs his memory. A comment someone makes, such as something like this:
Lightfur chuckled. "Stonepelt, I haven't seen anycat this ragged since little Starkit stumbled into our camp all those moons ago."
Stonepelt blinked and turned a piercing gaze on Starlight, Something stirred in the depths of his memory, and he squinted at the star on her chest, suddenly drawing in a quick astonished breath. "You! But you're supposed to be dead!"
Well, obviously it would involve a little bit more than that, but you get what I mean. Or maybe Starlight has some habit, like washing her star when she's nervous or something, that could trigger a flashback sequence and lead to a stunning revelation (dun dun dun…).
My question is, what name did Starkit's parents give her? (If we already discussed this, please remind me.) Stonepelt will know this, and so Starlight will find out her original name… That could be interesting. (I doubt that her parents actually named her Starkit, because 1) if she ever became leader, her name would be Starstar, and 2) that would be too much of a coincidence.
…I'm done now.

She sneezes. Starlight has these cute sneezes at the most random of times. That and she is totally obsessed with keeping her star clean. Those are her little 'habit's if you will.
Also, I don't know anything about her original name so...

Lightfur: That's what I was trying to say. It depends on how anxious and frantic and worried and distracted Stonepelt is vs. how much detail Stonepelt recognizes and how quickly his memory can put it together.
Also, for more information on the cute, random sneezes, see Starlight's stats and/or visit 'Starkit's Arival.' And totally obsessed is putting it a little too strongly. It was something she was highly proud of as a kit/new apprentice, and so she developed the habit of always washing it first when she groomed herself, and she /does/ prefer to keep it clean.
As for her original name, my original thought was that someone would call her "the starred-kit" since no one knew her name, and it would make her look up, startled, triggering one of those instincts people (and cats, apparently) have when they hear their name. And then MountainClan would put two and two together and realize her name must have been Starkit. However, then all the ideas came out, such as was she bron with the star on her chest or was it a white spot that took shape later or was it all black and then the star started growing there after a while? It was most likely just a white smudge on her coat before, and therefore I have no idea what her name would have been.
And I theorize that a cat named Star_ that became leader would just be caledd "Star," no suffix/prefix, depending on how you look at it.
EDIT: My apologies for the severe rambling.

Yea, we had an apprentice on a different sight who was Starpaw and she was a warrior who was depressed cuz she couldn't become Leader. It was annoying actually...

x3 Nah, it's really mostly filler fluff, plus a bunch of practice. Also, keep in mind that I've got six charries, counting my leopard cubs, while you've only got one. So do not be daunted! *dramatic music plays* Dum duh duh DAH…

Ah, but Willow, your charries are more involved in the action of the plot, limiting their ability to move things along without reactions from other cats, whereas mine basically just help things along and play relatively minor roles (except maybe for Lightfur). Most of my posts are just their thoughts: There's about as much action in one of your posts as in one of my posts overall.
