Um… So Starlight is seven months older than Willowpaw and Bramblepaw, right? And the gestational period for cats is about two months. So Willow and Bramble's father disappeared at least five months before their conception. And that's not even considering the fact that Starlight's mother didn't know yet that she was pregnant when she disappeared, so prolly longer.
x3 So yes. We are having scrambled time and ham for breakfast. But I really love the plot twist! It's a brilliant idea, Sleety. And Starry can invent some lovely parents for herself, I'm sure.
Oh late post again. Yikes. Oh well, yes, so there is some distortion there, but I still love it.

Oh . . . no, thanks Lightbulb. I totally gave the cats a nine-month gestation period . . . poor kitty.

I don't think it'll mess with it much at all. I made a time line but it's being stupid.
If she was five moons along, she would have given birth about five moons later, so Stonny's patrol was gone 11 moons when Starry stumbles upon the camp...which means Flower would have been pregnant for over 11 moons... so that doesn't really work... Unless Starry was born three moons before schedual...or if her mother was farther along and wasn't showing it.

Uh, I think she would know if she were /that/ far along. The mother (OH WHATEVER I'LL JUST CALL HER SWIFTMASK.) couldn't have been more than a couple of weeks along if she couldn't tell.
Or she could have known and didn't tell anyone?

Well, we can make it work out. Besides, Flower could have already had her kits when Star comes.

You guys, it's not like we don't murder the timelines of this Clan already. A few more wounds won't hurt.
I mean, unless we make Starlight eleven moons instead of sixteen (Which I do NOT recommend) there's honestly no way we're going to actually make this logically fit into any timeline. So I suggest abandoning logic and just going with awesome plot.

That would put her at... Well lets see...If Swiftmask was six moons in and didn't tell anyone she could have gone on patrol and had her kit(s) four moons later...That would put Starry at exactly six moons older than Willow and Flower and Stonny must have... like the night before patrol...
This is assuming cats have a ten month gestation period

That's right... Willow and Bramble's age determines everything.(lol). So if Starkit was six moons when she came to camp (even if she looks five moons cuz of her runtiness) and Willow and Bramble were already born... like maybe 2-3 moons? So that would make Starlight anywhere from 3-4 moons older than them. So if Star's gonna be 16 moons... That would make all four apprentices almost-warriors, since they were all apprenticed at the same time.

Or we could follow Lightbulb's advice and not care.

Where the poo did I read that cats have 10 month gestation... Well that screws up my entire time line...
Unless...Willow and Bramble aren't Stonepelt's kits...

As old as you want 'em to be. Time is unstable for the cats of MountainClan.
EDIT: What? I think that's going too far, Sleety. We shouldn't have to change these things just to make time stable again.

I have to say that this is a really amusing conversation to read.
As I was saying, the only solution which includes every detail and reality that we want is to disregard logic. Who needs it, anyways?
