It had been moons since they had been named apprentices. Sleetfoot had only been in the camp for a moon or two but young Bramblepaw had taken a facination to him he had never seen before. But the white tom had embraced it and tought the young one. But there was no more he could teach.
He had heard from her mentor also, that Willowpaw had learned as much as she could as well. The brother and sister pair where ready to move on and become full warriors of their Clan. He knew they where both more then ready and they would be thrilled.
Sleetfoot had seen Wildstar go into her den a few moments ago and followed her. The black she-cat blended into the shadows nicely, but he could still see her eyes. He spoke, announcing his presence. "Wildstar? It is time."

Wildstar blinked in agreement. "Indeed. MountainClan will grow strong with new warriors. You've been a good mentor, and proven yourself valuable to us as well." The black she-cat nodded to the white tom and allowed herself to smile. "Bluesky will be proud of you, Sleetfoot of IceClan. But let's not keep the ceremony waiting," she padded silently from her den, walking the familiar scree trail to the camp below, in the usual custom for ceremonies.

Sleetfoot dipped his head to the leader. His eyes widened when she spoke of his past Clan and he had been about to speak up when she left to go to the den entrance. He decided it was to late to speak and followed her out, leaping to his normal spot for cerimonies. Although she had not made the official call yet, getting settled would not harm any-cat.

Bramblepaw lay sprawled across the ground in the shelter of the apprentice's den. Yesterday had been an unprecedentedly long day, and though he had attempted to stay awake all night (much to Willowpaw's chagrin; he would need sleep for the vigil, she claimed), exhaustion had got the better of him. He passed into a near-comatose state and had not yet recovered.
Willowpaw was determined to remedy that. She had just awoken and had the mental capacity to realize Bramblepaw was asleep, as well as the fact that he needed to be awake. She put her muzzle very close to his ear, and said aloud, "Bramblepaw." She paused, waiting for a reaction. Then her eyes opened very wide as she remembered that today was the day of her and her brother's warrior ceremony. "Bramblepaw Bramblepaw Bramblepaw Bramblep--"
Bramblepaw's paw flicked out to hit Willowpaw in the nose. She flinched, twitching her whiskers. "What do you want..." Moaned the brown tabby, before he also suddenly remembered the significance of the day and sprung up on all fours.
The two apprentices were acting like kits, but they couldn't help it. This was the most significant day of their lives. Yes, even rivaling that of the unexpected reappearance of their long-lost father. That was stupid and boring compared to this. They were going to be warriors!
A mischievous glint crossed the tom's amber eyes before he darted out of the apprentice's den. Willowpaw chuckled and sped after him, leaping off of a rock to land on his back in a perfect tackle. He fell to the ground, batting at her face with sheathed claws before spotting a glob of white. He used his hind paws to knock Willowpaw away, then trotted over to his mentor in the most dignified way he could pull off.
ooc: I'm rusty. This is mostly fluff.

"Let all cats gather beneath the Tallspire for a Clan meeting!" Wildstar paused momentarily, although she was just as eager to start the ceremony as anycat. Willowpaw's and Bramblepaw's apprenticeships had been long and it probably had something to do with the Clan's excitement of seeing its first warrior apprentices since MountainClan's birth. "Today is the warrior ceremony of Willowpaw and Bramblepaw!" The whole clan should be allowed to partake in this honoured tradition.
Falcontail's ears pricked at his leader's call. It would be his first warrior ceremony as a MountainClan cat. Unfortunately it made the thought of becoming Hawkkit's mentor even closer. He shook off a shiver and proceeded to the clearing, the two feathers tied in his fur bobbing in the light breeze.

Yes, everycat should be able to participate. This was a big day for Willowpaw and Bramblepaw. Most of the adult cats had watched them grow since they were kits. This ceremony was almost as exciting for the rest of the clan as it was for the two apprentices. The whole clan should have a chance to watch in pride.
That's what Starlight was thinking as she watched the cats beginning to gather below Tallspire from the shadowy entrance of her den. Yet there was one who could not join them today. The medicine cat cast a worried glance back at the bright-furred cat curled up in one of the moss beds. Lightfur was still inexplicably ill. The she-cat would not wake up.
Hearing Wildstar's call, Springflower groaned and slowly rose to her feet. She looked over at Fallentree with a weary look. "Well, let's go, old tom. Might as well watch. I know how much all this ceremony and coming-of-age business means to you, sentimental cat that you are."
Meanwhile, Ashpelt darted out into the meeting place to join the growing throng of cats, his tail flicking left and right in excitement. It was about time those two became warriors!
((So, I don't know if Lightfur's ill or in a coma or what...but if it hasn't already been decided, I think I prefer a coma. Not that the cats would know to call it a coma, but I'd like having the two-legger label on it for clarification.))

Sleetfoot watched the mouth of the apprentice's den as the two cats tumbled out. He shook his head, almost saddly at just how much the pair had really grown! He remembered clearly hsi first day in MountainClan. He remembered with a warmth in his heart the look of intensity and pride in young Bramblepaw's eyes when Sleetfoot was named his mentor. Now, he would move on and be able to sleep beside the young, strong and worthy cat.
Sleetfoot padded forward to speak to the younger one last time as his mentor. The white tom brushed a paw over the tabby's headfur, trying his best to flatten his moss-fur (bed-head XD) before he would be presented to the Clan as a full warrior.
His bright blue eyes snapped to the black she cat when the call was made and he stepped forward, looking back to make sure the two apprentices were behind him. Sleetfoot stepped up beside Pearlclaw. No doubt the she-cat was having mixed feelings about loosing her apprentice as well. He sat beside her and waited.
Fallentree grumbled softly as he moved. His old bones creaked heavily as he stepped forward. At the mention of him being a sentimental soft, he glared at the she-cat that shared his den. "Yea well at least I'm not an old coot" he muttered just loud enough for her to barely hear. Of course...it was totally true. He was a sentimental old thing.
Once he had gotten close enough to be able to hear and see, he laid down. That was close enough.

Springflower settled in next to her companion, mumbling (as usual) that she wasn't an old coot, she was just practical, and admittedly along in moons.

Regalpaw stepped out of the apprentice's den and padded over to sit beside Willowpaw. He was so excited for her! He couldn't imagine how excited she was for herself. Soon, she would be a full fledged warrior. Soon, she'd be able to leave camp without an older cat!

Hawkkit bounded from the nursery with excitement. "Wow! Willowpaw and Bramblepaw are going to become warriors!" she exclaimed, her voice full of glee. She ran over to Falcontail and plopped down beside him. "What do you think their warrior names will be?" she asked the warrior, "I bet Willowbranch and Brambleflight!" she guessed, completely unaware her guess was so far off, "I don't know what bramble is... Is it a bird?" she asked her favorite cat in the clan with the feathers on his back.

(Ooc: I actually really like the names you came up with, Hawkkit! xD) Bic: Falcontail bit his lip in frustration. Hawkkit's ceremony would come soon enough, and it was starting to drive him mad. Even having the kit sitting next him was making him freak out. 'Please, let me be injured or something!' Begging StarClan was about all the orange tabby could do nowadays. He exhaled loudly. "No, a bramble is kind of like a plant with thorns all over it. I'm sure your mentor will tell you all about them." Wildstar allowed herself a rare grin. It had been a long time since she had performed a warrior ceremony. Willowpaw and Bramblepaw had been apprentices for far too long, and it would be a great milestone to see them advance as warriors. "Willowpaw and Bramblepaw please step forward. StarClan does not need to tell me how long you've waited for this. You'll have to wait a little longer before you brag about it though. I'm sure the vigil ahead of you will be interesting." Ooc: Totally just thought of something now. The Moontree is the perfect vigil spot 'cause it overlooks the whole camp (except the nursery, 'cause it's part of the huge root system) but is it fine to use 'cause it's (I think) supposed to be the way the MC talks to StarClan. Maybe the warriors can have the lower branches, and the super-high creepy branches are for Starlight. Also, WOW. Making Wildstar use any sort of humour is so difficult. I never realized how uptight I'd made her. Ah well, everyone can do me a favour and just be SHOCKED.

"I hope you're my mentor, Falcontail! You're the coolest most bestest cat in all of Montainclan!" exclaimed the tiny white she-kit.

Hawkkit nodded with excitement. "I'd work harder than any apprentice!" she exclaimed, "I'd do whatever you asked!"
