On a somewhat cold afternoon, six friends* plan a trip. To where you may ask? A set of caves and tunnels nearby. All of them are adventure-seekers and will take any opportunity to explore. And so, these friends set out with their gear: hiking shoes, camel-packs, flashlights. When they reach the caves, the going is tough; but they make it down the initial incline and get to the rocky bottom. After about an hour of climbing, they decide to stop, rest, and eat.
After much silence, a small noise is heard nearby. One of the friends gets up to find out what it is. Unnerved, he runs back to his group and calls them over.
A small Shinx stands in the center of the cave staring at them. Then he turns and runs down a small, side path. His friends follow. After squeezing through a crevice, they come out and discover a huge waterfall. The Shinx stands waiting for them and points up a hill. At their feet are a set of gear for each of them. Five pokeballs are among them. Off to another side lay six other pokeballs that look different. Unlike any other in the world, they are a shiny, almost pearl colour. The Shinx dissolves into a pokeball.
These six friends find themselves transported to the world of Pokemon.
The question is…is this a dream? Or was there actually a portal to an alternate world?
