OoC: Oh ouch sorry! *headdesk* I HAVE NEGLECTED MY DUTIES
*coughs* Anyhow, let's do this, shall we?
BiC: Pearlclaw yawned and stretched luxuriously, carefully avoiding bumping any slumbering warriors. Peeking out of the warriors' den, she crinkled her nose at the touch of the crisp morning air. It was a nice contrast to the warm, slightly stuffy atmosphere of the den. A few cats were already awake, and she nodded a greeting to them as she trotted over to the apprentices' den. The dew glittering on the ground scattered on her paw fur into tiny sparkling droplets, and she shivered slightly at the damp feeling.
The ivory-and-black she cat ducked into the apprentice's den, slightly mournful of the fact that it's wasn't a cramped fit. Warriors should be bigger, she thought sullenly. Oh, well. With an apprentice of her own, she needed to move beyond such kittish thoughts. Pearlclaw nudged Willowpaw gently, poking at the apprentice with her muzzle. "Wake up!" she murmured. It was early, but that was the best time to get training done, and the prey pile wasn't large yet, meaning that if they could get some hunting done, it was all the better. "It's time for training!"

Willowpaw's eyes shot open. "Morning," she said, stretching. She squeezed out of the den, basking in the newleaf sun. "What're we doing today?" she asked before beginning to groom herself. She wanted to think of herself as a grown-up, but it was hard when every day she was trained. ooc: I am so out of practice.

OoC: S'okay, same here. =3 I haven't really roleplayed since I disappeared. So we'll just have to work with each other, right?
Oh, and I'm putting this relatively recently, if you don't mind. ^^ Like, Bluesky's kit's are already born.
BiC: Pearlclaw re-emerged into the early morning sunlight. She glanced over at the prey-pile and winced slightly. "Well, it doesn't look like any hunting patrols have gone out yet. What do you say to some hunting practice? You're getting very good at stalking, actually." Pearlclaw purred. "And with new mouths to feed, we need all the prey we can get." She glanced around for Wildstar or Lightfur. Spotting the deputy, she took a step in her directon before turning to look back at Willowpaw. "Let's go let Lightfur know that we're going out for training, shall we?" She continued towards the deputy.
OoC: I couldn't resist. xDD "You're getting very good at stalking" lol

ooc: LOL.
ic:
Willowpaw purred at the compliment. Her stomach growled. "I'm sure that hunting wouldn't go to waste!" She stuck out her tongue. It was covered in long gray fur shed from the springtime sun. Willowpaw spat. "And something other than my fur would be nice." She crept back into the apprentice's den-- wondering if she could pester her brother, for old times' sake-- but when she looked inside, he wasn't there. She walked backwards out of the den, calling, "Hum. Sleetfoot and Bramblepaw must be out." She herself looked over to the fresh-kill pile and decided that even her brother and his mentor would need help filling it up... and that was saying something!

OoC: lol hairball.
BiC: Pearlclaw stepped up to Lightfur. "Good morning."
The golden deputy turned to look at the younger warrior. "Pearlclaw." She nodded. "Did you want anything?"
"Yes, actually" Pearlclaw responded. "I'd like to take Willowpaw out for some training. Hunting, probably, although later on we might cover some battle training." She glanced back, but her apprentice had vanished, back into the apprentices' den probably.
Lightfur squinted, considering. "I don't think that will be a problem at all, although if you two could join the evening patrol I would be grateful. And try to bring back as much prey as you can. Sleetfoot and Bramblepaw have already gone out, but I want to make sure we have enough. It can't hurt to have a little extra freshkill nowadays." The sandy-furred she-cat purred softly at the thought of the kits in the nursery. They were the first since Willowpaw and her brother, as well as Lightfur's own apprentice Regalpaw, had become apprentices, and as the future of the clan were very precious.
"Thank you, Lightfur." Pearlclaw sauntered back to the apprentices' den, nearly bumping into Willowpaw as she poked her head and shoulders through the den entrance. "Okay, we're good." she mewed quietly. "Lets go catch something." She backed out of the den, and strode towards the camp boundaries, glancing back to make sure that Willowpaw was following.

Willowpaw bounded after her mentor, her sleepiness melting away in exitement. Although it was newleaf, the mountain-born she-cat did not look up into the trees expecting to see anything but needles. From the StormClan veterans, she had learned of fruit. But here, she knew it would never grow, with the exception of berries. The fluffy apprentice stepped on the flat chunks of rock, sniffing the cracks between them for small animals. "Prey oughtta be plentiful," she whispered.

Pearlclaw nodded, a swift jerk of her head, preferring not to make noise. She opened her mouth slightly to scent better, the sweet scents of newleaf, with the sharp edge of the mountain seasons, assailing her. Catching a familiar mouth-watering scent, she glanced to her left, searching for a glimpse of movement in the crevasses of the stones. A vole, it smelled like, and hopefully a large one. Before alerting Willowpaw to the prey's presence, she looked over at the apprentice, waiting to see if the younger she-cat had noticed the rodent as well. Willowpaw was a good apprentice, and Pearlclaw was quite confident that the younger cat wouldn't do anything stupid to scare away the prey.

Willowpaw looked up from her inspection to see Pearlclaw staring back at her. She cocked her head, confused for a moment. She opened her mouth to speak, but when she breathed in, she caught the scent that her mentor was obviously waiting for her to catch. She smiled, knowing how proud she would make Pearlclaw when she caught it. She turned around, her nose almost magnetically pulling her to the vole. In a quick moment, her paw lashed out in a flash of silver. She grinned, removing her paw, but there was no vole on it In frustration, she slammed her paw on the ground, letting out a "RrrrRRGh!" Suddenly her eyes got wide, realizing she'd probably scared it away.
