"But Wildstar!" She cried, then felt a wave of hopelessness wash over her. Stonepelt was probably dead. There was nothing she could do about it. Her ears pressed against her head, the sullen queen drug her paws over to the other side of the Tallspire.
Curiosity made her alert. Though her depression hadn't quite melted away, she could listen to the conversation. Stonepelt was gone, and she knew there was no way to bring him back. And yet.... Flowertail thought of the new kit, and her own kits on the way, and she knew that all was not yet lost. Her ears snapped up as she listened to the conversation. If it wasn't her business, she would make it her business soon.

Ooc: Dude, Flowertail is crazy-nosy. Shame, shame. But, then, what female cat isn't? xD
Bic: Wildstar watched Flowertail sulking, and her heart went out to the nosy queen. The black she-cat could not draw from her own experience, but she definitely understood what it meant to lose someone close to you. She turned back to Galaxyfur.
"What is your news, friend?" she whispered.

He had listened and watched the debate in silence. Was it his place to contradict his leader? he, too, had smelt the feint scent of Stonepelt and the others. But he knew Flowertail was listening and didn't want to speak like that to his leader while she was. "That was my news, my leader. That the kit smells of MountainClan. I was unsure of what we should do now. The little one is currently sleeping soundly in my den. She needs the rest."

Frustration gripped Flowertail.
Here the news was, right in front of Wildstar's nose. Stonepelt, Swiftmask, and Burntfur might still be out there. And there was a slim chance that the kit had brothers and sisters, struggling to survive the bitter cold. And Wildstar was concerned about the kit's one little bump to the head? She knew just as well as the queen did that Galaxyfur would heal her in seconds.
She wanted to leap out and go find them herself, but she knew she could not, and that she wouldn't be able to convince any other cat otherwise.

The black tom dipped his head to his leader before speaking. "I believe she will be mentally wounded for life, but the physical hurt will be gone in about half a moon. It is large but not deep. But I fear she will never be able to tell us about her adventures before finding us."

With a scoff, Flowertail walked back to the nursery.
ooc: Lameness, I know, but I thought is was a good ending line before a potential time-skip?
We could skip to Flowertail's kitting, and have a flashback on how she got her name, Starkit.
Sounds Literature-y to me.

OoC: Well, I was thinking someone would mention the star on her chest, and when she hears the word star she looks up, feeling as if she'd been called. Then they realize that that's what her name was. Because she still has her sub-concious reactions and instincts intact.

**That's possible. Starry, if we want to RP some of her training we can go through that. Or Wildtsar could address the clan and call her "The Starred-Kit" and when she reacts Wildy decides to name her "Starkit"**
