This roleplay goes back in time, to when Galaxyfur was still medicine cat and Starkit has only just arrived . . .

The night had been hard. Recieving messages from StarClan was bed enough, but after an entire day of broosing and thinking about it, it was the night after the prophecy that was the worst. But he had made it and as the sun slowley rose, so did he. His back legs streached out and his tail touched the den wall while he pulled his head away. Ah, streaching was always the best.
He blinked a few times before checking over his herbs storage. Why was there neerr any poppy seeds around? He shook his head and decided he would go searching for them...after breakfast. He did his best to wake himself up as he padded out of his den and the the food pile.

The tiny kit blinked and, slowly, tried to take in her surroundings. Everything was new, the sights, the scents, the sounds. She automatically opened her mouth to taste the air. It was crisp, with the smell of earth, trees, and small prey everywhere.
The sensations were strange; the kit had seen and smelled all of this before. It was all cataloged in her subconscious, yet she had no memory of any of it.
She took a step forward, and froze. She knew, in general, where her body was and how to control it, but as far as she could remember, this was the kit's very first step. Feeling a deep-rooted sense of anxiety, the kit continued her journey.
As she padded along, the kit became aware of a throbbing sensation in her head. Pain. She realized it had been there all along, but she only now recognized it for what it was. Unsettled, she quickened her pace.
A familiar scent reached her nose next, but it was all wrong. Cats. These weren't, however, any cats she smelled before.
Suddenly, the kit stumbled upon a huge cave entrance, and a wave of appealing scent hit her. Fresh-kill, her subconscious told her. Fresh-kill! Happily, the kit leaped upon the pile of meat, taking a mouse in her mouth and tearing at the flesh.

The dark black tom lurched backwards, instaintly unsheathing his claws but they slid back into his paws once he saw the size of the cat. She was only a kit. Intruder, yes, but it was against the code to attack a kit of any Clan. But he wouldn't deny the fact that this was not a MountainClan cat.
"You. Who are you?" His voice was comanding, but gentel. A kit alone in the wild like this was either a lost kittypet *Though she didn't smell like one*, or a rogue. He didn't want to scare her.

Startled, the kit allowed her instinct to take over. It was, after all, the only thing she had to fall back on in an unexpected situation. She tightened her muscles, preparing to flee, and twirled to face the stranger, a curious light in her eyes despite her attempt to appear frightening.
((I'm assuming you're going to do the slow-mo thing we talked about?))

**Totally ** He was about to ask her another question when he stopped. It was weird. The entire thing seemed to happen in slow motion but as she turned he saw something that made him stop. Her fur. Pure black save for a briliant, pirfect, white, five-pointed star in the center of her chest. his eyes widdened and he whispered compleatly under his breath "Great StarClan..." He swept his tail around the black kit and herded her into his den, making sure she had brought the mouse with her; even he could hear her stomach growling.

The kit was confused; her instincts jumped in alarm as the older cat whisked her away, but something even deeper (how was that possible?) told her she could trust the gentle tom. She let herself be guided, and found herself in a cozy den smelling of strong herbs. Sensing that they'd reached their destination, the kit dropped to the floor and continued her meal, her eyes on the cat before her.

Galaxyfur shuffled over to her and parted the matted fur on her head, finnaly finding the blood crusted head wound. He sniffed it, making sure to not hurt her. He let her eat while searching through his suply. He found cobwebs but they where useless now that the blood was dry. He had to make sure it wasn't infected so he chose the correct herbs and set to work on her head.
He finnished his duty at about the same time she finnished her meal.

It was strangely comforting, the cat working wordlessly at the pain in her head. She might have even purred as the pain soothed, but the front of her mind was on more important matters. Delicious, savory mouse. She licked the blood off her paws, utterly content. At the same time, she glanced curiously at the tom-cat. What would happen now?

**Cats purr from their throats so they can purr with their mouths full. Cats also purr while they are happy or in pain, just fyi**
Once he had finnished the star-pelted tom cat went to sit before her. "Does it still hurt? i can find poppy seeds somewhere close to camp." The wound didn't look incredibly deap, just large. It had probably gotten to her brain but not enough to damage her very much. She would have no trouble in the future other then massive headaches.

((I'll edit that, then.))
The kit shook her head. "Not as much. Thank you." As she looked at the cat's face, the strange feeling of unfamiliarity where there should be recognition came over her again. As far as she remembered, this was the first cat she'd ever seen. Yet it couldn't be so; she'd known what he was the moment she'd seen her.
Suddenly, there was a slight tickle in her nose. She scrunched her nose up as the tickle slowly built. Suddenly, she lifted her tiny head up a bit, gasped . . . and her head came down as the force building within her nose let go, a high-pitched "too!" coming from her mouth. Startled, she looked up at the larger cat, her head cocked to one side.

At first he started to pull back from the kit: was she having a fit? But when the sneeze was released he couldn't help the great burst of laughter that rumbled from his throat. She was so cute! The laugh shortened to a chuckles as he padded over to sit beside her rather than across from her.
He figured he would start with something easy. "Do you have a name, little one?"

The kit blinked a few times, her head still tilted in confusion. Certainly she had a name . . . ? She spoke slowly, trying to dig up memories that must have existed at one point. "I . . . can't remember . . . ." She again looked up at the friendly cat, a small panic awaking within her. Why couldn't she remember anything?

"It's ok, my little one. It may come to you in time. If not, you or our leader can choose you a name." he smiled at her. Then it hit him. His leader! He stood up quickly. "Wildstar! She needs to see you!"

"Wildstar?" the kit asked. She was suddenly nervous; the name rang some far-off bell, for some incomprehensible reason making her think of a powerful authority.
((Sorry for the serious shortness of the post . . . maybe the cats can go to Wildstar's den and await a reply?))
