The apprentice's den was small. Well, it was large, but there where only three apprentices is the Clan so they had a lot of room to themselves. A thin brown tabby tom stretched out his back legs and yawned as he stood up, blinking the sleep from his eyes. He glanced around the den and saw the other two still asleep. Well that didn't happen often. He walked out of the den, tiredness-Is that a word?- still present in his limbs. He tried to shake them out as he went to the fresh-kill pile. He grabbed a sparrow, a fresh one, and headed to the rock where the apprentices usually eat. He could tell something in the camp was brewing, if not more than one something. He sat in silence as he eat, waiting for something to happen.

Lightfur yawned and blinked her eyes open, dilated pupils narrowing in the morning light that streamed from the entrance to the den. Peeking outside, she spotted quite a few cats already up and about, and yawned again. Well, it was time to organize the morning patrols, then, she supposed. Noting the scent of fresh-kill that permeated the camp, she realized that somecat or cats must have hunted already. With a purr of approval, she emerged fully from the den. Her sandy fur was ruffled from sleep, and her tail twitched back and forth as she shook off the lingering fingers of sleep that still clung to her like a heavy gray fog.
Spotting Wildstar, she trotted over and dipped her head. "Good morning, Wildstar." she mewed brightly, the brisk movement had shed her remaining lethargy. "It seems hunting has been taken care of." It seemed Sleetfoot and Bluesky had been the ones to do so, as they smelled strongly of freshkill and looked more awake then Regalpaw, who was the only other cat out of the dens. Besides the Flowertail and her kits, that was. They, of course, being full of energy, seemed quite cheerful. And why not? It was a lovely morning, and their apprentice ceremony would be soon, likely today. Lightfur's whiskers twitched in amusement as she recalled her own joy at her apprentice ceremony. And now she was deputy, with an apprentice of her own! It seemed somehow ridiculous.
Well, since Regalpaw was awake, she might as well take him out on a quick border patrol, with anyone else who wanted to come. A very quick one, with no pauses for training, since they would need to be back before the kit's ceremony, if indeed it was today. Or perhaps the patrol could wait until after the ceremony, when everyone would be more awake and it would be possible to take their time. "Wildstar," Lightfur spoke up, "Shall I take Regalpaw out on the border patrol, or wait for a bit?" She was sure Wildstar would realize what she was thinking, and glanced over at the bright Bramblekit and Willowkit, her whiskers quivering again and her ribcage resonating with a quiet purr of amusement.

Regalpaw's head snapped up from his fresh kill when he heard his name. His mentor was awake and talking to Wildstar, about patrols no doubt. He took the last bite off the sparrow and tossed it into the pile of finished remains. He stood and stretched one last time. He knew that training would be coming soon and he wanted to prove to his mentor how much better he had gotten over the past few moons. He padded up to her and bowed respectfully to her. He sat a few fox-lengths away, waiting for instruction.

Sleetfoot's nose twitched lightly. He would recognize that smell from miles away. He smiled as he looked up at his deputy. He bowed his head and smiled. "Good morning Lightfur. Bluesky and I went hunting this morning so there should be plenty of fresh-kill for you this morning." He turned his attention back to Bramblekit.

Lightfur nodded a greeting to Regalpaw. She was very satisfied with how his training was going, he was shaping up to become an excellent warrior. The respect he showed was a mark in his favor. "Good morning." she meowed to her apprentice, sitting back on her haunches by Wildstar. Sleetfoot came up to her, greeted her, and confirmed her suspicions that he and Bluesky had been the ones to hunt. "Well done, thank you." she mewed, before he made his way back over to Bramblekit, who he had been speaking to.
Lightfur let her gaze rest on Bluesky for a moment. Having always had a sharp sense of perception, as well as being close to Wildstar and Leopardmask, she was aware of the she-cat's condition. Even after Willowkit and her brother moved up in the ranks, the Clan would not be without kits for long. It came at a good time, as well- Flowertail, in moving back to the warrior's den, would hopefully cover the gap left by Bluesky's coming transfer to the queen's den. At least they would be no worse off in terms of warriors than before, especially with two new apprentices.

OoC: I needed something to stick in there to make the post longer, and I wanted to give Lightfur's point of view and opinion on the matter. xDDD So that's why for me.
Also, hey, Bluesky doesn't know either! *grins*

((-dying of laughter- Woooow, we notice Blue is fat, eh? EH?! xDDDD And no, she doesn't know. >_>
Oh, Regal, you're s'posed to bury them, but that's alright. And cats eat most of the bones, anyway. : P))
Bluesky swallowed the last morsel of mouse and wiped her tongue over her mouth to catch the rest of the taste. She rather heaved herself to her paws and padded over to the deputy and leader, brushing her fur against Sleetfoot's on the way. I should've eaten something smaller... She thought ruefully. She nodded to Lightfur and Wildstar, then grinned at Regalpaw's bowing. "So," She mewed quietly, so as not to attract attention from to two kits nearby. "Are we having a naming ceremony soon?"

**The cats eat the bones? Where does it say that? And may I ask where the Helk is Willow? This is her cerimony and it feels like I is talking with mehself...** He looked up as he sensed Bluesky coming nearer. He nodded to Bramblekit *Who seemed like a stone wall of nerves * And trotted up next to the three cats. "I hope so." He answered his mate. "They deserve it, and Ivypaw should be getting her name soon as well." **That was a lameth post...**

ooc: Ok Sleety so you were trying to talk to me about Regal? Ok! ic: Shortly after the three left the den, Sleetfoot and Bluesky came into the camp, the smell of the fresh-kill drawing out warriors. There seemed an exited air, and the kits could only wonder what it was about. Prancing to the fresh-kill pile, Bramblekit got there before his sister. He wondered what Sleetfoot was talking to him about at first, but Willowkit seemed to get the idea. Her grey eyes were lit up as they munched on a meaty vole. When Willowkit had had enough, she jerked her head up and noticed many conversations occuring, a lot of which carried the words "Bluesky" or "ceremony". She tried to calm herself down, but simply couldn't.

**Haha! I knew if i screamed loud enough ye'd hear me! And I was actually talkin' to ye about the ceremony**
Sleetfoot turned again when he noticed movement amongst the kits. From what he could gather, they didn't know what was going on, but they knew it was something. He trotted over to stand in between the two kits and sat down. "So, how are my two favorite kits doing today?" He emphasized the word kits.

Willow smiled brightly. She opened her mouth to say something, but Bramblekit spoke before her. "We're fine! Thanks for the food." Willow stretched her neck out to look at him. Her expression said "silly puffball."

He couldn't help but laugh. He let his tail tall on the small cat's head. "You are very welcome. But soon, you will be able to hunt for your own food." He chanced a glance up at Wildstar and the others. He knew he couldn't directly tell them what was coming, but he could hint...Right?
