It had been two sunrises since Ivpaw's apprentice ceremony, and the hub-bub of the Clan was finally subsiding. Wildstar stretched languidly, and quickly rushed out of her den.
There really wasn't much to do in the mornings, but it seemed the only time Wildstar could be alone with her thoughts while still in the camp...

Sunwing woke with a jolt, feeling the soft moss that lined her den brush against her small pink nose. She blinked sleepily, putting out her cold forepaws in a bow-like stretch. She slipped out of the warrior's den, careful to not disturb her clanmates. She sighed softly, then waited for dawn to come. She was always up before dawn. Her glossy ginger coat gleamed in the faint light emanating from the mountains behind her. As she turned her white-striped face towards the light, her green eyes found her leader, rushing from her den. She looked like she wanted to be left alone for a while, so Sunwing rose from her crouching position and padded towards her leader.
"Good morning, Wildstar," she mewed, licking her ruffled chest fur. "is it okay if I go out hunting alone this morning?"
Normally she wouldn't ask, but she was unsure if her leader wanted her for the dawn patrol or not. She waited, her snowy white paws kneading the soft ground at her paws. She couldn't hold back a huge yawn, displaying sharp white teeth.

Ooc: xD I love how you said: "She looked like she wanted to be left alone for a while, so Sunwing rose from her crouching position and padded towards her leader." You sounded like a nosy kit. -giggle snort-
Bic: "Good morning, Sunwing." Wildstar replied a little distantly. Her sleep had been disturbed by unseen dreams since Ivypaw's ceremony, leaving her drained and the hours spent sleeping worthless. The warrior's voice sounded from far away to her. "And, yes, you may go hunting. But, be sure to be back by the time the sun is halfway to it's high."

((Nosey kit! X3 Man, now I'm yawning in real life, just by seeing and typing 'yawn'!
Um...How am I supposed to take Ivypaw on a tour if I don't even know what the whole territory looks like? Can somebody describe it to me?))
Bluesky woke and stretched her front legs in front of her, yawning. She wondered briefly if she would be going on the dawn patrol, then she remembered, she was a mentor! She had promised Ivypaw yesterday that she'd take her on a full tour of Mountainclan territory. She rose to her paws and walked out of the den to see Sunwing leaving. Bluesky nodded to Wildstar, who seemed a bit out of it. With any other cat she would have wondered what the heck was wrong with them, but she respected Wildstar too much to think much of it. She turned and stuck her head in the apprentices den. "Ivypaw!", Bluesky hissed. "Ivypaw! Wake up!", Then she withdrew her head and sat down to wait.

[glow=red,2,300]Bluesky's hiss had awakened Rosepetal and she got up, careful not to move her kits and wake them from their sleep. She walked outside of the nursery, spotting Bluesky. "Good morning, Bluesky," Rosepetal meowed to the warrior cheerfully.[/glow]

((I hissed into the apprentices' den, but whatever.))
Bluesky turned her head. "Good morning Rosepetal", Bluesky returned the greeting. "How are your kits doing this morning?" She padded over to the Fresh-Kill pile, grabbed a mouse, and settled herself down next to Rosepetal, eating as she waited for the Queen's reply.

((Pffft. Nosy kit. xDDD Poor Sunwing. -pets-))
Sunwing dipped her head. "Yes, Wildstar. I will." She padded into the forest, her senses alert. Her jaws were slightly parted in the hopes of catching a prey scent. Almost immediately a whiff of mouse rippled through her scent glands. Her green eyes flickered around the woods, spotting a short gray pelt and tiny pink paws. She crouched low, keeping the weight off her paws and stepping lightly towards her prey, eyes narrowed. When she was within leaping distance from the mouse she jumped and landed flat on its back. It squealed and struggled furiously to free itself from her paws, but she bit down on its neck, killing it instantly. "Mouse dung!" She spat, burying her prey. It had squealed loudly enough to scare the prey away for some distance. With a final scrape at the earth, Sunwing trotted off in the opposite direction, towards the steeper cliffs. She clawed her way up a rocky slope and sat down, bushy tail curled around her paws. Suddenly a dark shape neared her, soaring through the sky. A hawk, its huge wings furling and unfurling, was flapping its way towards her. Sunwing leaped to her paws. This bird thought she was a helpless kit? /Think again./ She thought to herself, unsheathing her claws and baring her teeth. If she ran now, the hawk would merely chase her down the cliff and kill her instantly. "Better to go down fighting than running like a coward," she hissed to herself, watching as the hawk approached. Its brown feathered head gleamed under the rising sun.
Cat and bird met with claws outstretched, ripping at the weak parts of their bodies. Spitting, Sunwing clawed furiously at its eyes. She yowled in pain as its beak jabbed at her soft underbelly, and clawed even more frantically. She hissed in satisfaction as her claws met their mark, and a shriek of pain emitted from the disgusting bird's beak as it threw its head back. Angrily she bite down on its exposed throat, feeling warm blood rush through her teeth. Suddenly, both of them were falling down the sheer rock face on the other side, tumbling...
Sunwing opened her eyes slowly, afraid that she would be with StarClan. But her eyes widened as she saw dark brown stone with dark red spattering across it. As she rose to her paws, every muscle screamed in protest. At last she dragged herself up. Next to her lay the bird, who was not so lucky. Both its wings hung at odd angles, and its beak was stretched open in a final cry. The once-gleaming black eyes were glazed with white. The big hawk was dead. Sunwing limped towards it, pain shooting like claws up her foreleg. She grabbed the bird by one wing and dragged it around the cliff. She hauled it to camp, moving very slowly with her injury and the huge, heavy bird grasped in her jaws. Sunwing finally stumbled into camp and padded over to the fresh-kill pile. There she dropped the bird and flopped down, exhausted. At least she had not broken or dislocated her leg; it was only a sprain. She twisted her head, licking her sun-warmed fur. At least she'd made it before halfway to sunhigh.
Ooc:// By the way, I figured that since hawk/eagle attacks were common in teh Tribe in the real books, they might be common here. xD Correct me if I'm wrong. =3

Lightfur yawned long and lazy as she blinked and got to her feet. Padding out of the den, she sat, feathery tail curled about her legs, near her leader. "Wildstar." she mewed softly, unsure if the leader had noticed her arrival- Since the ceremony, she had seemed oddly distant, somehow. "Are you all right?" The tip of the deputy's tail twitched, long, red-gold, dark-fringed fur glinting in the morning light. Perhaps Wildstar was ill?

OoC: Hi, Wildstar. I did make an account, as you can see, and Lightfur's helping me with the idea I had, about roleplaying with poetry, and this is what we came up with. ^_^
For those of you who have never met me, I'm your medicine cat, Leopardmask, who can rarely make it on and, I believe, has only ever spoken to two of the club's members, Lightfur and Wildstar. I'm no roleplayer at all, I'm a poet, and thus the odd style of this posts and probably any posts I make in the future.
BiC:
Creamy, short fur rippled Spotted and streaked with gold The color of dark sun
Deep within her den The she-cat stirred from her slumber Ready to greet the new day
Dark-rimmed amber eyes opened Vivid in their framing Of spots of dark sun
Leaves rustled Paw pads touched soft on the Floor of the den
A delicate nose Dark as the dawn Nudged each herb gently
Assuring her Each plant is ready In case of need
Before her legs Long and elegant Took her from the shadows
Emerging into the morning As the morning emerges From star-spattered night
White underbelly growing long As the healer stretched Herself a pool of shadows and sun
Bright eyes looked Here and There Searching
Alighted on two figures Two friends, two clanmates The leader and the deputy
The regal, sleek figure Made her way over, something Wild animating her movements.
An exotic, egyptian look The medicine cat Healer of the Mountains
She paused by the others A cloud of thought Passed over the suns of her eyes.
Speaking silence The she-cat lowered herself to the ground Front paws tucked away
Speaking in the way cats have Of nothing And everything In silence

[glow=red,2,300]"They're fine. Thanks for asking," Rosepetal said. "They're getting bigger everyday and they should be eating solid food soon. Are you going to take Ivypaw out of camp today?" [/glow]

Ooc:// Hello Leopardmask. I'm Sunwing, and our kitties are going to meet very soon. Sunwing got attacked by a hawkie. xD
Bic:// Sunwing noticed Leopardmask emerge from her den, and padded over to her, limping slightly as she neared the medicine cat. "Leopardmask, could you look at my leg?" She mewed, lifting her foreleg to show the healer. It was slightly twisted, and she winced as she lifted it. "I think it's sprained."

Ooc: Huzzah! Thank you, Leopardmask/Bibli. :3
Bic: Wildstar looked over at her deputy Lightfur. "I'm not sure, my friend. But it's something. Something that even our medicine cat might not be able to cure." Wildstar looked thoughtful. "Then again, she may."

BiC: The fur on Lightfur's shoulder's prickled slightly. "Are you sick?" she asked. "Is Starclan troubling you?" Lightfur was no medicine cat, and she was unsure what she could do to help the leader, but if her leader needed help, she would do her best. She noticed she was gently kneading her front paws into the dust in front of her, and stopped herself. It didn't do for the deputy to look nervous in front of others, since deputies, medicine cats, and leaders alike were expected to set an example.

"I'm honestly not sure, Lightfur. StarClan may be trying to tell me something, but I cannot recall any such thing. Perhaps Leopardmask has heard from them."
