Figures we'd all say something stupid and inappropriate every now and then. Today, it seems, was my time to shine.
Alright, so our drama class was discussing what the class should do for an end of the year assignment on social issues, and someone said human/women trafficking, and the exploitation of women, etc. Then our teacher asked: "What should we call it?" So, me, being stupid, was thinking of how they can ship people in containers like cattle, and I blurted out "Shipping and handling." Fortunately, only a few people heard me, because I wouldn't be around to tell you this if anyone else had heard me say that.
Anyone else ever had a time when they said something completely inappropriate because they just weren't thinking?

Oh great StarClan... I was at a semi-formal banquet at this really expensive restaurant called the Melting Pot for the end of year party for my French Club. Anyway, I can get a little crazy when I have to much food/sugar. Well I was talking to my friends and I was already a little insane. Anyway, I was sitting two people down from my teacher and his wife. She made some comment about "Oh I love cherries more than anything in the world" and I was like "More than him?" And pointed to my teacher... That was so embarrassing...luckily, I am not currently in his class No points dockage lol

… I said something utterly stupid the other day, don't know if it counts.
I had this super-big, super-important group project that I did with a partner, and my partner basically failed. He didn't even show up on the day of the presentation because he didn't have his bit done, so that he could get an extra day, and then didn't know his presentation material for the next day. I had WAY more stuff I was covering than him, because basically all he was was Kennedy, the civil rights movement, and a little bit of Vietnam. I had all the rest of Vietnam, the New Left, the Counterculture, the Native American civil rights movement, Hispanic civil rights movement, Gay Liberation movement, New Feminism movement, Johnson, Nixon (including Watergate) and the inauguration of Ford.
He took TWENTY-FIVE minutes of out forty-minute presentation, when he was supposed to take fifteen tops so I could get through all of my information. So I had to rush superquick through my part of the presentation, which led to the following blunder.
I was discussing how the Hispanic civil rights movement led to new focus on the issue of bilingualism in public schools, and I blanked. I couldn't remember what language they spoke! So I said, "Um, and they spoke, um, Mexican..?"
And my teacher is like, "You mean Spanish?"
And it was hideously embarrassing.

xD Poor Lightfur! Me, I'm probably like that partner of yours. I made a five minute presentation into an hour presentation (it was Redwall, come on!). That was over three years ago, but I still haven't lived it down.

Aw, that's so great For English right now we are learning how to write in different ways *so like accents or speech problems*. We have to take a celebrity and give them something then write an interview with them. I'm choosing Robert Westenberg and Mole Speech Oh. And did I ever tell you guys about my presentation on Warriors?
