Ok, apparently I can't do polls so I'm posting a regular thread. Please post here with your vote on the roots you like best for our new Moontree. Feel free to discuss but try to keep it easy to track. One} Two} Tree} Four} Five} Votes: One} || Two} | Three} Four} Five} |

By the way, for those of you new to this . . . topic, we decided MountainClan needed a Moonstone/pool and we have decided to create the Moontree (idea thanks to our Devoted/Daunting Deputy). It's like one of those white poplars, where the undersides of the leaves are silver, and at night the moon shines through them to cast a silvery glow (xD) upon the cats below. During leaf-bare it gets covered with gleaming frost, newleaf it has white and slivery blossoms, and leaf-fall the ground is blanketed in the silver leaves.
The reason we're trying to decide on a look for the roots (honestly I'm not sure this thread is quite necessary--we could just describe them as knarled roots) is because the medicine cats and leaders are supposed to touch their noses to the roots/trunk. Also because knarled roots symbolize antiquity which implies wisdom.
EDIT: I can't decide. Sorry. Other than number two, I'm fine with all of them.

My favorite roots are still prolly the ones on the number two tree. ^^
Although I really think that this thread should be in the Roleplay Discussion section since it deals with a tree unique to our site and Clan that really has nothing to do with the canon Warriors books. =3

I still think number one is the best. Number two looks like spaghetti, three and four aren't really anything special, and five just doesn't have what I'm looking for.

Hm… (yes, I seem to be reviving this thread because it has caught my interest yet again, because it just randomly came to mind) I think root #1 looks the best, because it's got that hovel underneath. I'm thinking that the medicine cats/leader could not just touch the roots, but actually sleep underneath them… maybe the thinking behind it is that the wisdom in the roots is centred in the trunk, where the most wisdom can be gained… I don't know, I'm just venting my thoughts, here.
But I was also thinking, that since the camp's geography makes it susceptible to flooding, the Moontree could also be a back-up camp, in case the flooding gets too severe. If that is indeed the case, then I'm thinking the tree should have a feel like this:http://ucscplant.ucsc.edu/ucscplant/Grounds/images/bw_oak_tree.gif

I like number five. The roots are really gnarled looking, and long too. Plus, it looks like there's a little cave underneath it, which could be pretty useful for stuff.
