An update to the general populace about the FallenClan plot.
Wildy, Lighty, Sleety, and I have just finished a staff meeting (via Skype, in case anyone cares) discussing the improbabilities and finer details of the FallenClan plot. I have been charged with filling everyone in. So, without further ado, the updated version of the new plot. (I’m going to include what’s still the same in the old plot mixed in with the old bits, so that we can just look at this summary instead of reading all of Sleetfoot’s fanfic. Which I’m sure is nice, but it was really long and I kinda sorta never read it. ^_^ )
In the wilderness down near the base of the mountains lived seven clans. Four lived in the highlands (IceClan, FireClan, SkyClan, and RockClan) and worshipped MoonClan, their equivalent of StarClan. Three lived in the lowlands, and worshipped SunClan. MoonClan stood for love, courage, and selflessness, while SunClan admired ambition, ruthlessness, and cunning. When a cat died, his heart was judged by the ancestors, and his spirit lived on in the clan that most aligned to his way of life.
The vast differences between their ways of life pitted the ancestors and their living followers against each other. Skirmishes between highlanders and lowlanders were not uncommon in their histories. However, SunClan eventually decided they wouldn’t put up with MoonClan any longer. They ordered the lowlanders to attack the highlanders and take their land. The lowlanders joined together under one name—BloodClan—and attacked. The battles were bloody, but eventually BloodClan emerged as the victor. The remaining highland cats regrouped under one name—FallenClan.
Defeated, the refugees struck out to find a new home. Little did they know that they hadn’t seen the last of BloodClan.
They found a temporary shelter, a small cave that happened to be on the outskirts of MountainClan territory. It’s small and drafty, not large enough to hold all the cats at one time. Some of the warriors must take turns sleeping outside.
From there, we hashed out the details on how FallenClan and MountainClan come to work together. As (I think) we’re actually going to roleplay this part, I’ll keep it brief. Starlight and Moonpaw find Boneclaw (Sleetfoot’s sister and a medicine cat) collecting herbs. Starlight questions the intruder, follows her back to their temporary cave, and decides she can’t just ignore them. She takes a small party of non-threatening cats back to MountainClan (so that Wildstar can get the story directly from them without getting a heart attack, and so that there is more room in the shelter). Sleetfoot walks into the camp, nearly feints when he realizes his sister’s there, and manages to convince Wildstar to take in the refugees. Eventually, BloodClan attacks, and it’s up to everyone in MountainClan to decide what happens next. =)
As for the timeline, we’re going to say the Disaster Roleplay began and concluded about a year ago. We figured we might go back to that roleplay later, so we’re just going to say MountainClan survived and everything’s all fine and dandy.
So...yeah. That's it. Enjoy!
