OoC: I ended up having a little more time than I'd guessed this morning and managed to throw together an intro for our...intro. However, I have a really busy schedule until later this evening (I'm estimating sixish my time), so don't get too far ahead without me, please. ^^ Kael would hate it if he got pushed aside in your eagerness to get started.

“Two more? ... Really, another pair of siblings! ... Mm-hm ... Yes, yes, of course. You’ll send them both here. ... It’s settled, then. I expect them at the facility day after tomorrow. Give ‘em a day to say good-bye to their family and friends. ... Yes. ... Yes, alright. And I’ll expect your report then, too. Good afternoon.” The director hung up and looked down at his phone, a thoughtful expression on his face. “Two more,” he quietly repeated to himself. “Interesting.” He drummed his fingers on the desk in front of him, mulling it over. Then he picked up the phone again and dialed. “Yes, prepare two more rooms in the residence hall. We have a couple of new level fives coming in morning after next.” --- Cassie and Michael stood in the meeting room, opposite the door. They had dragged all the psychics out to meet their new “friends,” just like every other time Cassie could remember. Michael was fidgeting in barely-contained nervous energy. This was good news, for him. He was about to have two new friends, if he was lucky. He ran a hand through his short, messy brown hair, succeeding only in making it messier, and then tugged on the edge of his T-shirt. He shifted his weight to his other foot. “You might as well start jumping up and down,” Cassie told him, not even looking his way. “Your attempt at looking calm is failing. Miserably.” Kael grinned sheepishly at his sister. “I can’t help it,” he said, smoothing his hair down. “It’s just...” “I know, I know,” Cassie said, dismissing the subject with a wave of her hand. She was leaning casually against the wall, her hair, clothes and make-up in perfect condition, arms folded in front of her. Her expression was the epitome of boredom. “You don’t have to explain. In fact, please don’t.” Suddenly, her head perked up and her gaze rested on the door. The next second, it opened. “Here they are! Everybody, meet Gaerwn and Enid,” the director said cheerily. “Please help them feel at home here. You all remember what your first days were like.” He ushered the newcomers in, smiling at them encouragingly. Kael jumped forward to greet the newcomers. “Hullo! I’m Michael! Oh, but you can call me Kael,” he said, grinning at them and holding out his hand. Cassie, still leaning against the wall, rolled her eyes at her overenthusiastic brother. But her mind was carefully guarded. She hadn’t managed to find out what abilities these newcomers had. The director hadn’t told any of the staff yet, and he’d been careful to keep out of Cassie’s reach. She was not about to let some newbie telepath read her mind.
((btw, I’m adding that in as another little twist. Telepaths (or any power that involves knowing another person’s mind, which technically includes most aura-reading abilities as well) can manipulate their psychic energies to keep other telepaths out of their heads. Of course, the higher the level of the psychic, the stronger their barriers are and the easier it is to break the barriers of lower-level telepaths. Anyway, it puts another small limit on Cassie’s powers and, as I mentioned, might make for a nice little twist later on. Who knows?))

Kara Smiled at the two new comers. "Hello, I'm Kara, If you need any advice or need to talk to anyone, Please don't hesitate to knock on my door." Her eye's twinkled as the looked at Gaerwn, both in aw at his cuteness, and sad that such a young soul had to bee cooped up in a place like this with the rest of them.
Jake looked over at the new kids. He waved a bit, but remained where he was sitting on the couch, hoping they weren't the type of people who got overly friendly when they arrive somewhere. He looked back down at his handheld gaming system, but back up at the two again. The girl, Enid, She was kinda pretty, he had to admit. .....He began to play again.
Kara looked over at Jake. "That is Jacobson, but you can call him Jake. He's a bit shy, so He may not talk to you right away, but that doesn't mean he isnt nice when you get to know him."

OoC: Okay, just gonna say that I'm really unhappy with this, but whatever. >.>
BiC: Gaerwn was stuck to Enid's side like glue as they walked along the corridor, escorted by the director of the facility. Enid would guess that if either of the siblings had possessed psychic gifts that posed any possible threat, they would have had more than just the one man as an escort- but as it was, the truth-reading teenager and flying boy were really not what one would consider dangerous. Abruptly, the man stopped, opened a door, and gestured that they should enter, grinning at them encouragingly and speaking into the room, telling the occupants their names. Gaerwn gave a tentative returning smile to the director, but Enid didn't smile back. Clutching Gaerwn's hand a little more tightly, she stepped through the doors with her little brother, into a room full of fellow psychics. Since everyone in their immediate family was a psychic of one level or another, Enid and Gaerwn were quite used to being around psychics, but they hadn't encountered any other level fives before, and Enid was quite interested in seeing what they would be like.
The initial impression was friendly, as a guy who looked about Enid's age- maybe a little older- bounded forward for a handshake an an introduction, revealing his name to be Kael. A girl named Kara introduced herself along with boy named Jack, who seemed to be quite concentrated on his video game. There were several other girls and guys around, and although some of them seemed a bit sullen and antisocial, Kara and Kael seemed friendly enough. Enid shook Kael's hand and grinned. "I'm Enid, as you may have gathered from the introduction." she introduced herself to the room. "This is Gaerwn, but if that's a bit difficult to pronounce he answers to Gaer." Gaerwn's grip on her hand was still strong, but less of a death-clutch, which meant that he was relaxing a little.
Gaerwn was pretty freaked out by the whole facility, to be honest. He didn't really get what was going on, exactly, but Enid had told him that they weren't gonna be allowed to live at home anymore, which was concerning. He wished Tristam and Mam and Tad were here, but of course they were still at home. They were far away too, too far for Tristam to hear Gaerwn's thoughts or for Tad to send thoughts, so they couldn't even communicate like that. Gaerwn had never been away from home before, he'd never even been to school, so he was really nervous.
Some of the people here seemed nice, but some of them were frowning. Gaerwn hoped that they would turn out to be nice anyways. As Enid introduced him, he nodded. "I'm Gaer." he announced in agreement, trying to keep his voice steady because he was a big boy and shouldn't be scared or sad, he should be like Enid. "Hi Kael, hi Kara, hi Jack!" He smiled at them, and waved. There was a girl leaning against the wall who'd been talking to Kael when they came in, and Gaer looked over at her. "What's your name?" he asked tentatively, as she looked a little bit annoyed and not too friendly. Still, Mam always said that it was important to be polite.

Ooc: Yuck! Didn't like my former post. It needs some Robbie.
Standing with her arms crossed and weight on one foot, Ramara watched the newcomers out of the slit of her eye, allowing another yawn to escape. No sense in taking much in--she had seen the whole thing play out in her dreams the previous night, leaving her awake early (again) and dead tired (yet again). Still, if she stayed awake long enough to stand and meet them, she could go back to sleep sooner. She wasn't exactly unhappy to see new people in this hellish place, but now there were even more people about to be controlled and manipulated. Seeing the future was overrated, and living in a place full of psychics that could be used at the government's disposal almost made her blood boil. Maybe it would if she wasn't so tired. 'Gotta keep my eyes open for Robbie,' she remembered, standing up even straighter. Her eyes flicked around the room searching for him, like always. 'Grown too attached to him.' Suddenly she felt a tug on her jeans*, and without looking down, she knew it was Robbie. Still, she did anyway. "These are the new guys, Robbie," she told him, her tone rather unexcited. The kid always knew what was going on in her head anyway, so why fake anything?
'They seem okay,' Robbie replied without actually saying anything. Having no front teeth made him sound so babyish! Everyone else said it was cute, but that wasn't what he was aiming for. It was better to speak without speaking until they grew back, but Ramara usually made him suffer through his "thyllableth" when anyone spoke to him. 'Please don't make me say anything more than 'hello'.'
*Wait, do these people wear some sort of uniform or whatever they want?

((Whatever they want. If they'd even /thought/ of uniforms, Cassie'd kill someone.))
"Hi, Enid!" Kael said, smiling widely. She seemed nice. "Hi, Gaer!" The kid was nice, too, not to mention cute. Then he started talking to Cassie. Kael's face paled, and he glanced over his shoulder to watch Cassie, uncertain.
His sister grimaced ever-so-slightly (which meant she was controlling herself, Kael noted in some relief) before wiping the emotion from her face. She seemed to consider the five-year-old for a moment. And was Kael imagining the amused glint in her eye?
"Cassie," the girl answered, neither kind nor unkind, just stating a fact. "My name's Cassie. Kael is my brother."
Kael gave a small sigh of relief, and the smile returned to his face. "That's right," he said. "We're siblings, just like you and Enid."
((Lighty, you discovered her weakness for cute, innocent little kids waaaaay too fast! XD))

Gaerwn was relieved that Cassie didn't seem mad, although the air has seemed a little tense for a moment. He smiled at her a little, but then something caught his eye- A kid about his age, standing by a tired-looking girl. So not everybody here was Enid's age! Gaerwn felt a big grin break out over his face, and he actually broke free of Enid to scuttle over to the other boy and introduce himself. "Hi, I'm Gaer!" he said excitedly, looking at the kid and his older companion. "I didn't realize there was another kid here! How old are you? I'm five!" he declared proudly.
Enid started as Gaerwn slipped free of her grasp and darted off, but she followed his direction with her gaze and saw another little blond boy. She smiled, hoping that maybe Gaerwn could make a friend. Turning partly back to Kael, she kept half an eye out for Gaerwn, ready to react if anything weird happened in this room full of psychics. "So, Kael, have you been here long?" she asked, gesturing broadly to indicate the facility. "What's your assessment? Do you like it here?"

Chuckling, Kael watched Gaer dart off towards Robbie. He turned back when Enid addressed him. "Oh, um, Cassie and I have been here...eleven years now, I think. I think it's petty nice here, but I don't really have a lot to compare it to. And, um, I'm a level five telekinetic." Had he answered all her questions? He thought so...

Robbie frowned up at Ramara. 'Do I have to?' The teenager raised an eyebrow. 'Fine! Go drool over Kael!' Unclamping himself from his caretaker's pants, he stood as close to Gaerwn as he dared. "I'm Robbie, and older'n you." 'Ugh. Like that wouldn't cause conflict,' he thought.
Ramara frowned away the red on her cheeks. Robbie was obviously getting too cheeky. Maybe the new kid would help keep him in line. Maybe. She felt her eyes drifting over to the new girl and Kael, but forced herself to look at the wall. Nothing worse than a little kid being right. 'Cheeky.'
Ooc: I'm having a lot of trouble controlling Robbie's personality. Obviously he's a freakin' wild horse. <_<;;

Esla entered the room from the hallway that lead from the dorms. She had been in her room, but she had heard the commotion in the room, and decided to see what was going on. She poked her head in and examined the scene in front of her. There were two new people there. She had been in the same position a year or so ago.
After a few moments of looking through the door, she stepped fully into the room and stood back against the wall, her head cocked to the side as she observed the newcomers. Slowly, she began to step farther into the room, advancing on the newcomers. "Hello," she said to the two, "I am Esla Petrovich. You can call me Esla."

He'd been leaning against the back wall for what felt like hours. word had come through that a new couple would be coming into the lab. He felt bad for them. Wasn't the point to try to get out of this place, not bring more in? Oh well. It's not like they just waltzed in willingly. They were probably being dragged against their will by the government employees. Eh, whatever. Did it really matter? They were here and that's that.
As they entered, he inspected them. A guy and a girl. Obviously close. Probably siblings.
He sighed. More people he would have to watch over.

(Hahaha, dating!)
Kara Watched as more people started to greet the newcomers and was watching to make sure no one spooked them.Another little kid, it was sad that the government thought they could be used or studied like this. She loooked back to Enid. "So, what about you and your brother? What have you gotten yourselves in here with?" she smiled, keeping her tone light. "I'm a Medium, level 4, but I've got some telepathy in me too. Been here about, hm, 9 months I think."
Jake listened closely to the conversation, interested in what their powers were. That was one of the more interesting parts of new people coming in here, hearing what they could do.
