Wildstar looked ahead, her eyes still reflecting that tell-tale grief any time she mentioned StormClan. "We were one called StormClan, Sleetfoot. We once lived in a great meadow by the sea. I still remember my den, braided moss covering the entrance, and many bird feathers of all sorts jutting from crevices in the walls. My favourite was the jay, such an odd feather. Gray in the shadows and blue as the sky in daylight. A great evil came upon StormClan, I'm still not sure what it was. It could have been a bear, like the foxes had warned us about many moons before. But, who knows? "Anyways, Pinestar, the former leader of StormClan, told me to head toward the mountains, where we would find peace and safety from our enemies. The journey there saw that we lost many warriors, including my brother, Gorsenose. StarClan rest his soul." She sighed. "MountainClan is our home now, and has been for quite some time."

OoC: >.> I'm being forced to get off the computer, but I'll post super-quick first. I'll edit this later to make it longer.
BiC: Lightfur had reutrned from her patrol on the other side of the territory to find a distraught Flowertail and her kits turned out of the nursery, which had collapsed, apparently destroyed by the huge bird of prey that now rested rather amusingly in the fresh-kill pile. The entire camp was in a buzz about the white rogue that had stumbled in, and how Wildstar had offered him shelter. Lightfur had sighed at this, knowing that they could barely feed themselves at the moment, but she would never speak out against a decision made by Wildstar. And besides, kindness usually didn't hurt, and since the white warrior was apparently one of the famed IceClan, his winter hunting skills should be substantial. Unless he was injured or some such thing- Since Bluesky had apparently gone out with him on hunting duty a while ago, this was really a definite possibility- he could probably contribute more than he ate.
Lightfur had ushered the out-turned queen and kits into the elder's den with Fallentree before roping several other warriors into assisting her in rebuilding the nursery. It was a mess! She sighed and wriggled under one of the largest branches, which was essential to the structure, and pushed it up and into position. "Pearlclaw, get that one over there, please. The one that supports this one." Her voice was a little strained with effort, but she didn't show how heavy the branch was in her expression. Her trembling legs might have given her away, though.
Pearlclaw shoved the branch into position and sighed. "Wow, I wish that we had been here to see that bird! It must have been something!"
"Just so." Lightfur agreed, thinking that the leaders should not have had to deal with the vicious bird on her own. Stupid featherball! Ruining their nursery before it died! Ah, well, at least it would provide food in such a difficult time. That was probably what it had been after iteelf… Food. The golden deputy shuddered to think of the terrified little kits, then threw herself into the steady work of reconstructing the nursery.
The entire main potion of the nursery had caved in, and there was snow everywhere, which certainly didn't make things easier. The broken branches would need replacing, too. It would take a while, since much of the Clan warriors' time had to be spent hunting, and even in times like this it was unwise to skimp on patrols… After all, hadn't a rogue wandered onto their territory today? Even if he was not hostile, the deputy had heard chilling words whispered upon her return to camp, of wolves and the destruction of Clans. Danger was out there, oh, yes it was, and could reach them even here in their mountain stronghold.
Lightfur had not forgotten StormClan.
The she-cat sighed and withdrew her support from the branch. It tilted on the branch that Pearlclaw had pushed into place and fell flat with a thud. Oh, dear. How was she going to get that up again? "I'm sorry!" gasped the young black-and-white warrior, but Lightfur shook her head.
"It's fine, just help me pick it up" She hoped that Wildstar returned soon, with the deputy's errant former apprentice and the strange white foreigner that the blue-grey tabby had found in tow. Lightfur and this lot could certainly use some help here. This was looking like an extensive project.
OoC Edit: I've made it longer, done now. ^^ And in case anyone is curious, yes, Pearlclaw would be a warrior by now. Observe:
Pearlclaw received Willowpaw as an apprentice when Willow was six moons old and Pearlclaw was eighteen moons old. (Of course, Pearlclaw hasn't actually aged yet, but that's another story.) So when Willowpaw was born, Pearlclaw would have been twelve moons, which is approximately when you become a warrior. Willowkit and Bramblekit are born at this point in time, make Pearlclaw at least twelve moons old and thus a warrior.
Just don't ask who mentored Pearlclaw, because nobody knows that. >. >

**Well thought out my dear Lighty. Wait wao! What with the bird?**
Sleetfoot listend quietly when Wildstar spoke of her past home. A den by the sea? "That must have been beautiful. I had a ClanMate that was obsessed with bird feathers." He chuckled lightly, remembering the small she-cat who would ofted be seen making crowns of feathers. "It seems like your cats have already settled down into the mountains." He looked around the snowy landscape, eyes wide in admiration.
"You seem quite adapted to hunting and traveling through the newer territory." he dipped his head in respect to the black leader, a small smile playing across his mouth. He started forward again, a little slowly; he was not quite sure where the camp was.
Fallentree let Flowertail rest beside him and curled the tiny kits in with his tail, keeping them away from the warriors trying to rebuild. It was a dificult job that needed to be done correctly and it couldn't be done with two tiny kits running round being a distraction. He wasn't sure if Flowertail would be of any help but he spoke to the queen. "I will keep your kits safe if you wish to help." He gestrued to the mostly empty den. "And I have plenty of room in my lonely den here for you and your kits to stay until the nurcery is rebuilt."
The ancient cat looked fondley down at the kits and pulled them closser to his body to keep them warm. They had already drifted into sleep and nudged against his thin fur. He could remember quite clearly when all of the cats in camp had been their age.
